Inner peace is not the absence of conflict, nor the absence of challenge, but rather the capacity to be with what is, in each moment, without prejudice or judgement.

When I was 31 I was in the midst of ritual with family members, to honor the ashes of my young husband who had died in an accident. This is so long ago it appears as though from another life, yet I know it was me. Just hearing Eckhart describe weeping caused this memory to resurface: I had been left alone in the Grove where my husband's family had chosen to bury the box of ashes. They wanted to give me some privacy so they went up to the house. I sat very still. At a moment when I looked up into the tree branches above me I felt a call. Within the space of about 5 minutes I had dug up the box, leaving no trace, gone off into the woods behind the Grove and performed my own private ritual, physically coming in contact with my beloved's ashes and talking to him about my sadness. And yes, my grief was lifted and I was ecstatic, but I also had to acknowledge that it was going to be temporary. I endured years of grief but of course it had its ups and downs. I also never was able to speak to anyone about this; with time it has become easier.

Solitude is an unmarked place beyond the borders of the map, a place where most fear to tread. It’s no surprise, then, that this is where the greatest secrets and most valuable treasures are hidden.

When they said she was going crazy, she was awakening. When they said that she was isolating, she was healing. When they said she was acting funny, she was growing. When they said that she had changed, she was evolving. When they said she did not care anymore, she finally realised that her peace lives within. When they said he was becoming distant, he was learning to trust himself. When they said he was losing touch, he was finding his inner voice. When they said he was being stubborn, he was asserting his boundaries. When they said he was aloof, he was finding solitude and serenity. When they said he was being unrealistic, he was dreaming bigger.

Exactly!! I went through it. When I was an atheist I had a spontaneous awakening. When it happened and the 4 months after my family wanted to call my therapist, they called me crazy. They couldn't understand I had just experienced something indescribable and I was so full of love I couldn't contain it, and for 4 months I was euphoric. Then I went through stages exactly how you described them. Did you have a spiritual awakening/Christ consciousness? These are terms I learned after my experience.

It is the egoic mind that believes in itself. When we identify with the egoic mind, we believe in ourselves. Why? Because all the egoic mind has are thoughts and beliefs, it has nothing of real depth, like Inner Love, Inner peace. Inner Beauty. Awakening simply just happens by itself, when a person is ready to witness the egoic mind, rather than identify with it. The difference between witnessing and identifying with the egoic mind is astonishing. It has to be experienced in order to realise the reality of who we are.

Happiness comes with the focus on what you are doing the best of your ability each moment. Even when you driving every day as the best and polite driver ever with no violations, you can feel happiness. It takes a second of your decision to be happy.

Happiness is an inner state. It happens. It disappears. Come back again and so on. I am referring to the state of joy because I don’t know what happiness is. Success doesn’t spoil your happiness or inner state of joy at all! Nor money spoils it.

Money and fame are the keys to happiness. These celebrities have millions of fans who love and adore them. That sort of feeling is priceless. Celebrities get depressed because they are spiritually bankrupt. None of them have any understanding of meditation. They live for this life instead of living for God.

None of those fans would give a penny to those celebrities if a need occurs. That cannot be called love.

5:01 Bring appreciation of the present moment even as you pursue your goal. Consciousness flows into what you do. That’s high quality action. You are more likely to succeed when you don’t need to succeed. Your desire to win deprives you of power. Thanks Eckhart. 23 November 2024. 🥤🐝🥤🌸🐇⚡️🦓🍕☘️🍕🍊🌍🍊💰🔥🌴😇🌺💝
