Hello from Japan. All your words make sense. After I lived 45 years completely unaware of my ego's trick, my insides completely collapsed. I came across your book when I was going crazy with unbearable pain. It took me eight years to truly understand your words. Well hope I do now. I am 53 years old and I am feeling deep peace of mind for the first time thanks to you. Since I realized that I am life itself, there is no “my life”, I was convinced that I could accept anything until I leave this body. Thank you so much.

Here's a poem I made inspired by Eckhart Tolle: There is a space inside me, this space cannot be named. Because when I look to find it; I find its gone again. I'm made of thoughts, memories, and cells that re-arrange But the space that lives within me, will forever be unchanged. When I search for something tangible, and claim it to my being. I am merely limiting myself: I am only thinking without seeing. 'Cause all the things that make 'me' may change from day to day, But the space that lies within me can never fly away. My thoughts are rivers, each droplet, moves fast But the undisturbed I is free from future and past. You cannot imagine what you cannot see or touch. That is consciousness. Made of nothing. Yet so much The answer does not come from thought, Somewhere in its absence, the truth is taught, Because paradoxes always arise; it's old news. In this fun game of life, we're always bemused.

Sounds like an extremely ego driven observation. Ever met a scary scary person that tricked you into some similar observations? I've met a handful of them and the idea of "knowing" (see/feel) is the protection they rely on, when manipulating you. Some things can't be faked, some can. Thats for you to learn. I see a teacher, maybe his teaching masks his disturbing anger? None of my bussiness just like how genuine he acts is none of my concern. Some came here for awnsers and some came here for a solution.

16:38 for most humans all they ever experience is object consciousness 26:25 not resisting the form that arises 28:55 making space for things to happen 30:21 they don’t allow an event to be; they argue with reality 47:50 when you cooperate and allow something to be, it becomes an opening to something 51:16 not my will but thy will be done - thy will is the will of the whole 54:39 it does not matter where you begin to allow “what is” to be 58:19 there’s always far more space than the emotion you just have to find it 1:07:30 how quickly help can come in because you cooperate with life, there’s no resistance to life which is now 1:17:25 you get a stronger sense of self but it’s the illusion of who you are when you can triumph over someone - “more” fill in the blank 1:22:21 no question is vital. If you become still enough, the answer, if you need it will come to you 28:40 surrender to a little thing and you find a little peace 29:15 if something is happening and you make space for it, you become the space. This is the grave that is hidden behind “bad events” 51:45 that which stands in the way is the way 48:50 the true spiritual practice is to work with all the little and big things in one’s life that seem to be obstacles and blockages 51:51 that which stands in the way is the way 27:05 the form of this moment becomes an opening into the formless within you. The more challenging the form is right now, and you accept it, the deeper it takes you into the formless 28:35 surrender to a little challenge in this moment and you will find a little peace 29:21 if something is happening and you make space for it, you become the space. And this is the grace underneath bad events 49:33 don’t try to figure out why this has happened

If we try to meditate it doesn't work. The meditation happens, the emptying of the mind is like the vehicle, recognizing the split between the mind and self, and/or body and self, this is like the road. So once learning to quiet the mind we find all new ways and times to meditate. In the same way as a yogi would say all life is yoga, or a jewish mystic saying all life is prayer, all life is meditation. There's no schedule unless the ego creates it. 🙏❤✌🏽

He understands what I understand and I relate to that, the futility of how we (I) can search for meaning where none may exist... ENTER ZEN FROM THERE .. from where ? Anywhere ! 😊 and I relate to ekharts humour ... he’s a great teacher ... for me a good teacher either a) makes you laugh b) provokes thought c) creates emotional responses ...for me ekhart possesses all three qualities. Everytime I listen to Ekhart I think am I now part of the collective consciousness? Does anyone else think that or is that just me ? I've just experienced this. So the other day I was coming home when I saw that someone had dumped probably two hole pickup truck loads of garbage on my property. My first reaction was not strong, which is unusual since I don't do violations of my space very well. So I got out and looked at it, and still did not have a strong reaction. I got in my truck to enter my driveway, and at that exact moment the sheriff was right behind me. I motioned them over, and we talked. And not only is it difficult to convict someone on a dumping violation, but I wondered what good it would do. I still was amazed that I was in acceptance of the garbage. And instead of like in my past, I remained accepting over the days. I've decided that I'll go clean it up, and pay what will probably be $200 to get rid of it. And now not only am I accepting of it, but I'm imagining I'll even get some kind of enjoyment out of doing it. After all, it is a beautiful place with large trees all around. I have done what Eckhart talks about in this video. I am so glad to have gotten to this space, with the garbage at least. Oh yeah, I wanted to add that the sheriff never drives down my street. It was as if some kind of play was being acted out that he should show up right behind me at that moment. It was so weird. And I now see all of it as a kind of preordained challenge that I have accepted. It feels so good to be at peace. But some things I still cannot handle. Assholes on Harleys making a racket just light me off. I value silence so much. I hate noise pollution. Maybe some day I will have the ability to accept noisemakers.

How about if you needed that $200 for an urgent medical issue for a family member? Or how about if you urgently had to raise cash for a relative's life-saving operation by selling your home and downsizing, but the sale fell through because the buyer saw what happened and became cautious about the area? My point is, a lot of these teachings are all very well for those with options, and the audience is often middle-class people who have resource to deal with such problems. But of all the "spiritual" people I've known, I've not yet found one who deals with a genuinely catastrophic situation any better than someone non-spiritual. (Note: this isn't a pop at you at all, it's just a general feeling I've had for a while).

Whenever i stop thinking and pay close attention to whatever happening, suddenly feel a peace and incredible aliveness that can't be described in words, the feelings you experienced when you were baby and toddler.

Eckhart Tolle, And All, So that is what is meant about Acceptance. Beautiful, even decay of the body and the objects of the world helps us to be released from the mental prison or maybe I should say from the "stuckness of circumstances that Life puts me in. " -Eckhart Tolle and the 1000 names of the Divine Mother commentary explains it well that there is a "way out!" Wow, I feel like I am just scratching the surface. I just Love Eckhart Tolle' s metaphors and storys. Especially the pleasant and the unpleasant. My favorite 2 examples are enjoying the beauty of the tree and the person who gets their foot stuck in the mud. Of course, you pull out your foot in the mud. You wouldn't just stay in the mud. I am still only scratching the surface. Acceptance isn't easy for me. Improving your life into better and more pleasant circumstances is wonderful, but to transcend even those circumstances and not become trapped in those circumstances!!! That is my highest goal right now. Accept and penetrate beyond into the nothingness had me dumbfounded. Thank you Eckhart Tolle and for Life circumstances plus my Teacher Amma who also gave beautiful examples such as "When you fall in the ditch you don't stay there you get up out of the ditch!"-Amma' s example are beautiful, too. Thank you to Life and hopefully I will one day be set free, which is why I believe I am on the planet Earth. Also, To explore the secrets of the Universe. Thank you to my Uncle Vasistha who reminded me.

Thank you for expanding on this extraordinary wave of Peace that passed thru me a few days before my husband passed and the audible voice said "this how you will be after your husband passes". There are many other things being learned in the past 3 months since but these challenges are being met in a different way. I now ask for help and it comes. I ask for understanding and it comes. I understand how Jesus bared the cross, how Daniel dealt with lions in the den, etc - it is because of the Peace given them too. The stages grief that folks go thru has not happened to me because of Peace and knowing and experiencing the Universe of Spirit surrounding me. As some commented below, I am different - yes still challenged here and there but as I ask for help - it comes. What Blessed place to arrive at. I am surrendered in mind, body and soul. Thank you again Eckhart.

@Hairy Chinese Kid No. I was not assuming it would annoy Tolle. I was sure it would annoy some audience members based on the comments I've seen for the videos. It was also a distraction for those people, and if it became significant enough, it would make sense for Tolle to address it, which he did.

"The world is here for you to experience things that are going wrong". This speaks to me. Nothing that goes smoothly and easily, "everything" you have to work out is complicated and very painful, but when for a second i remember that's for why i am here that's a healing moment. The "experience" continues in an unexpected form and manner and the pain still comes back and i struggle with myself again and again.

A good analogy of consciousness is like the being is a radio station. What is the reception and the transmission of that being. A working station needs a good signal. With out interference. Where the signal comes from is a mystery….god the universe. Just listen inside. The self can not describe but only be aware that. I am nothing but everything. Now that is beginning with no ending. Thank you master Eckhart for your presence and time for humanity.

You have inspired me to write poetry such as this my dear soul! Transformation.... I’ve been given this space... this moment As I’ve been open to allow The transformation comes within By existing in the now Transcendence becomes the journey From which consciousness is made known Realizing our present moment Is the place from which we’re grown So the process of doing Striving in effort instead of grace We find ourselves depleted From the tiresome rendition of pace If one rests in their precious now Focusing on presence and breath We feel the trials of life leaving Hence, This moment is the ego death Our spirit then arises And Holiness abounds The efforts fall away And it is then, we hear the sound The precious sound of silence The beauty of grace so pure The magnificence of life Evolving beyond this sphere Going inward instead of out Trusting in the process of rest We shall know the answers As calmly as the bird sits in its nest Life is no longer an effort And we now live in the flow Nothing seems to matter Because we are in the know! I would kill to meet the person in the audience with the 'cackling' laugh. Here is a person that clearly 'gets it'. !!! I believe I might go out of my way to go to one of Eckhart's great talks wherein this person would also be in the crowd. Truly a 'hearty' and genuine laugh. Value added IMO! Regards to all followers of ET and others still deep in suffering. Wow, life indeed is better - should have seen me a couple of years ago. I got lucky, enlightenment & I have become quite good friends. Two years of study and I feel like living again. A thousand thanks you's Eckhart, and a thousand more for Buddha as well.
