This series is honestly the best handstand series on the internet . We are all really lucky that we are getting this kind of content for free . Just keep up the amazing content,man . Just did my first handstand on the grass for a whole of 4.5 seconds .

Akshat Mishra Congrats! 💪 That's awesome you got your first handstand! Always keep in mind that it's a work in progress. You have to focus on "locking it out" into that total body tension. Some days will be better than others. I find that sleep plays into it quite a bit (as weird as that sounds) because being rested is very important. Thanks for commending my handstand tutorial too 😊

there is no way. i been trying to do handstands all my life cause i used to be able to walk and do them when i was younger. i been practicing everything in this video (the bails were easy cause i already knew those as an instinct) and i actually got back into it! im in total shock. it only took a couple days too. thanks for the help man

This guy's tutorials work like a charm guys. Got from frogstand to a few seconds handstand in less than a month finally today. Same for his pull up totorial. I started at 0 pull ups (i m still a bit fat) to 4, training since the 4th of February. Just got my first 30" tuck lever too yesterday. My dude, i seriously can't thank you enough. I would have had no idea where to start, broke as I am, if it weren't for you. Your understanding of the progressions and the fact that you share your knowledge so freely is very admirable. I ve lost around 40kg of fat the past 5 years and i m still at 18% only now (lel). I was always fascinated by the muscle up, so i put my self the challenge to stop being a pansy about how heavy i am and how impossible it is, and start actually training with bodyweight instead of waiting to lose the hanging belly. 2 months ago, to me, the muscle up looked CG'ed. Now, it just looks kinda hard. Thank you

Unwavering Decipline wow, thanks for commending my tutorials :) That's great to hear you're doing so well in your fitness journey, and congrats on the awesome progress on handstand and pull ups! 👊 Do you mind if I possibly use your comment as a testimonial in the future? I've been collecting these positive comments for an opportunity to pimp my KZbin channel later on (if I ever need to).

To summarize: Learn to bailout: Find out “HANG TIME” Learn how to balance: Warm-up > Forward, backward wrist extension and wrist flexion + SCAPULAR ELEVATION + POSTERIOR PELVIC TILT + LEG TENSION(with standing on your tippy-toes) First PUSH, Second TILT, Third POINT Then: >Engage the three cues while lying on the floor(it is like hollow body) >Chest wall handstand (kind of PUSH, TILT, POINT again) -->Go try handstand before “hang time” try to lock PUSH-TILT-POINT CUES PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE THANKS to Minus The Gym :D

I love this. Gave up before because I was trying to hold and then bail, rather than getting really used to bailing and then holding. A subtle difference that makes all the difference. Thank YOU!

I'm so dumb, I'd been doing hand stands at the wall and so I skipped all the preparation and went straight for the free hand stand. But I went in with too much momentum leaving me no time to bail and just falling over at considerable speed. Thanks to my outstanding reflexes I got away with a minor abrasion on one of my knees but don't make the same mistake.

I'm in the headstand stage + some frogstand variations, mainly extending one leg into the air. Hope to here at most by the end of the year.
@MinusTheGym4 жыл бұрын
Start kicking up by the wall. Even if you don’t get fully inverted yet, just practicing kick ups now is a good idea. Walking up the wall for chest-to-wall HS too. End of year is realistic if you get on the wall soon and really focus on the 3 cues: push (scapular elevation), tilt (PPT) and point (leg tension). Go for it!

This video is really good and helped me a lot, but even though I have a bit of the time where im standing on my hands, I don't fall forwards, my body just goes back again. Does someone have a tip?
@MinusTheGym5 жыл бұрын
Sinan B if you're falling back to your feet, pressing into the ground with your palms while bending slightly at the elbows can help. It takes practice but you'll eventually get a feel for it. Arching your back so your feet are in front of your head can also help regain balance, but I don't recommend arching because it's inefficient compared to the straight handstand.

Damn man your yt vids are gold! Rly good explanations, not too long, your voice is satisfying and I loved the fact that you carried much about the bail process and preventing us to hurt ourselves ^^ the 3 key words push, tilt and point were rly helpful I’m thankful I met your channel. Some thoughts from someone who’s hitting 6-7 secs now.. - imagine a baby that learning to walk. It takes them about 12 months? It not intuitive for them to balance on their feet either despite having a heel. I see balancing on hands the same way-it’s a slow, difficult process that not intuitive. - bailing and balancing need to be instinctual. If you have to think too hard about it, you’re gonna fail. You need most of a handstand to be from muscle memory cause you have too many moving parts while executing the movement. - there’s no good transition to a handstand. Frog stand and headstand might help a little, but the gap between being able to perform those movements vs a handstand is enormous. Be prepared for a steep learning curve and a lot of failure.

How can you tell if you’re strong enough to do a handstand? I would like to learn but I’m not confident that I have the strength!
@MinusTheGym5 жыл бұрын
Shannon Nieland don't worry, I can help :) Short answer: if you can hold a handstand against the wall for 20 seconds, you *probably* have the strength for a free standing handstand. Long answer: I say "probably" in my short answer because handstand is a full body exercise. It requires adequate strength in the wrists, forearms, shoulder girdle, core and thighs to really "lock it in" and hold it freestanding. So I recommend using my Learn The Handstand playlist on my channel. It will take you through all the steps to build the strength: frog stand (wrists, forearms, shoulders), then headstand (core, legs), then wall handstand (serratus) before trying it free standing. This is the playlist: goo.gl/RfzVsU

@tomersadot4 жыл бұрын
Warm up your shoulders. 1) Lay on the ground face facing down, nose touching the floor, keeping the three elements he talks about (pushing the scapula upwards, engaging your abs and glutes and pointing your toes) . Hold a broom stick with your hands shoulder width apart straight forward and work on gradually elevating the stick higher and higher over your head. 2) Stand against the wall, hold a posterior pelvic tilt with raised scapula and try gradually getting your straight arms over your head as close to the wall without compromising the PPT. 3) For this one warm up your elbows and wrists as well. Start off in a face to wall handstand (keeping all three elements) where your palms are a palm away from the wall. Rest your legs and chest onto the wall while maintaining the position of your palms. You should notice a stretch in your shoulders. The further away your palms are from the wall the deeper the stretch.
