Far too scared to practice Chest to Wall. Can’t bail either, seems like it’s ages of practice as well
@MinusTheGymКүн бұрын
You just need to gradually work up to things. There’s a safe progression for each step. For example, practice partial and then full wall walks before attempting your first wall handstand. You’ll eventually have the strength and confidence to do it safely .

I kick off and balance against the wall. I am too scared to fall over. Sometimes I can catch balance for a second or too, but mostly I just use the support of the wall or go back down
@MinusTheGymКүн бұрын
Nice! That’s great progress. Next step is to learn how to bail out safely, that way you can kick up and exit safely when you don’t land the handstand (which will happen often lol). You should check out step 4 of 4 in my handstand playlist. It’ll teach you the last couple steps to get your first handstand in the open: Learn the Handstand kzbin.info/aero/PLOIXepd1L0kC1UZMQrFJOmMaj7RxUSGGa

Question: I have degenerated disks at the base of my neck, from T1-C6. They cause me me a lot of chronic pain. I've been doing dead hangs for a month and not noticed any problems, but could dead hangs make things worse?

Personally, I never considered coffee a negative thing. Anything can be done in excess, of course. I don’t add anything to my coffee-which is IMHO vastly better than the stuff people typically put in coffee. The sugars and weird chemicals that make fancy coffee drinks are definitely bad for you, but I don’t think coffee or caffeine actually is. Personal opinion, not a professional or anything. I do drink multiple cups day-but I don’t ya chemical reaction to it. I don’t feel less awake or groggy before I have any, it doesn’t perk me up to drink it of make me jittery or keep me awake unless I drink a massive amount in a short time-like more than a pot (12 cups) in an hour or something. Also when I quit for days I don’t notice any difference. I do this periodically just to make sure I’m not dependent.

I have never seen a video where Mike Tyson talks about his push ups, I doubt he invented them but from what I take from this exercise is that it is similar to burpees in explosiveness and conditioning but it has an added bonus for flexibility. Other calisthenic channels say it’s useful for fighters but it doesn’t seem like it, any fighters that use this exercise in their conditioning and has it helped?

What juicer do you use when you do juice ?
@MinusTheGym5 күн бұрын
Last few years I’ve been using the Nama Vitality 5800. It’s a great juicer. But I have my eye on the Nama J2 for my next one because it’s top-loading so you can just run it and walk away while it juices everything.

Would you recommend these over Lebert parallettes.
@MinusTheGym4 күн бұрын
The Lebert Equalizer bars are taller so you can do more with them. You can do dips on them, for example. But they’re not angle-adjustable like the Mini Bars. I’d say it comes down to what you’re after in the bars and how important compactness for storing them is for you. Their price point is very similar.

Hey, mate, thanks for spotting on split squats - i have no problem with normal deep squats but when i try to do elevated pistols (even on min range of motion) - afterwards i feel discomfort in my knee joints. After your video i have tried split squats and thoose are really what i need to strengthen my knees before i can safely proceed with pistol. Will stick with split squats for while

If you are doing 50 reps, isn't most of that nowhere near failure? After about 20 I sort of get fatigued or bored before I feel like the muscle is toast. But yes I have seen the same thing that up to 30 is still in the hypertrophy range.
