There are few tools for drywall, drywall screw drive, it controls the depth and wont break the paper but it's corded. There's also adapter for cordless screw drive. If I plan to work all day with a screw drive I'd rather use a 12 volts, about 2/3 of the 18 volte's weight just have few extra batteries on charge.

When I was 20 my co-worker and I standing on two sections of Safeway scaffold did 110 sheets on the ceiling. Screwed to DWC . Also putting up 6 inch rolled fiberglass. In 8 hours. That’s every day. Ceiling was 80,000 square feet. Dallas Trade Mart. We had one man handing up. 5/8 fire code 4x8. We didn’t have time and also didn’t need what you used in your video.

You’re funny. I laughed. You don’t need boards for two people but hanging myself it is helpful. I should get off the internet but I keep thinking someone will tell me something I don’t know instead of having to point out things like your drill has torque settings so turn it down.

Why do you hang them perpendicular to the trusses/studs? It makes it more difficult for whoever's is taping as the joints are more likely to crack because of the airflow from the backside.

If you are a DIY'er buying a lift isnt practical. Rent on at Home Depot, or do what he does here. Also you can buy the drywall screw bit that will only put the screw in just below the surface of the drywall, not thru it.. They are cheap at HD as well, or Lowes
@whiskybiz91543 жыл бұрын
Don’t use an impact driver y’all… get a drywall screw gun, that’s the proper tool to be using. No need for the 2 by 4 when you have two guys even with 5/8ths.

😂 this video definitely shows diy of how not to hang drywall. Been hanging drywall union for 26 years. Wrong tools to do the job. They make a drywall gun, also use a real walk up not your moms kitchen step ladder.
@michaelisrude2 жыл бұрын
Why don’t you say screw it in instead of drill it in?
@ronedelenbos2722 жыл бұрын
Loose the lightweight household ladder as well as the fold up extension, gets some proper drywall guns , maybe pick up a drywall lift so you can work a little easier and stagger your drywall joints. WTF Tools of the trade make a better job overall and you have a lesser chance of injury. Spend money on good tools and safe work practices are key to being productive and making a good living. Offsetting your drywall seams is like Drywall 101 seriously guys. Your not teaching,

You say how to hang by your self but you had 2people
@Housebarons3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fishy dubs fishing, okay, you got us there. But the point of the video is that you can use this method to hang drywall all by yourself. You simply use the wooden holder to take the place of the second person. If you look through the comments you will see that many people have had success using this method. Good luck with your drywall projects!

FAIL...Like how the end of the video doesn't show their mistake of not staggering their butt joints on the second run of drywall. Research before you post a "how to" video so wrong isn't teaching wrong.
