Sunset at Shabooms and a very merry CHRISTmas to you sir!!!

One thing I have done in the past is at almost any store there are large plastic bins you can buy for fairly cheap. Then just using any personal preference you can wrap each light strand individually and put it in the bin. Easy and cheap.
@kyandi3 Жыл бұрын
You forgot the absolute most important rule in hanging lights! You must test them first to make sure they actually light up! You don’t want to spend all that time and energy setting up an elaborate display only to discover that some of the bulbs are burned out, or a whole strand just doesn’t light up. Always do a quick test first!

Help..... one part has abit of information left out. At the garage you are running an extension cord from one set of lights to another. How? All extension cords have one wider prong and do not fit into the lighted cord. I don't get how you can do that.

Great video! Please make a video about lighting and extension cords, how to deal with connections in different weather like rain etc. We’re new home owners and we are clueless.
@michaellwalker87485 жыл бұрын
For snowy rainy weather, there are green waterproof capsules you can by that cover the junction between two extension chords. They're green and plastic with rubber seals.

You could also put the connections in a plastic Tupperware type container and cut holes for the cords to go out each side.
@michaelkadziolka36264 жыл бұрын
just elevate your connections and never tape them. if water gets in you want it to be able to get out and not stay trapped inside the connection

Looks fabulous. I'm the type that likes completely warm white lights as it reminds me of snow, that we don't get often, however..... I was actually awed driving around my neighborhood where a moderate looking home had completely enwrapped their house in bright cool super white lights. It was absolutely gorgeous, if not magical looking.....like snow.
@SARDOG5 жыл бұрын
Just did our lights and used a spool of 100 white LEDs and used the pole clip thingy. We have a peak in ournroof and that was def a challenge getting the lights hooked on. Brother in lawn is going to come over and get on the roof and make sure they're all in good. In would def give the pole and clip system an 8 out of 10. Diggin the path lights. Ordering now.

I live in. Vegas and our ground is so solid due to the clay, any suggestions on how to get ground lights with those darn plastic stakes into the ground? I seem to have tried everything I can think of like using a rubber mallet but the plastic either bends or breaks.
@michaelwarren23915 жыл бұрын
A few ideas - Soften the ground with water where you want to put the lights. It will take a few hours for the water to work. You could also try driving metal stake into the ground and then removing, to create a pilot hole for the plastic stakes. Put the light in a flower pot with either potting soil or small stones.

Great question, Laura! You can check out this link for our recommended clips: www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=christmas%20light%20clips%20for%20gutters. The Holiday Living clip is the one featured in the video, but feel free to explore the other options as some of the designs might work better with your gutter guard. If you need anything else, please let us know.
