The material was just plan material from the store sewed the edges and placed grommets around so they can be placed over small head screws.

I want to hang a happy birthday sign on curtains for a backdrop, will the fishing rod string show?

It depends on the thickness of the string used. But in person up close you will be able to slightly notice it. But from a short distance and in photos you do not see the string.

Hi, can you help me? I am planning my daughter's birthday party and kind of waited last minute to order name for the backdrop. I have a round metal stand with a white stand cover. Any idea what I can use to put up name sign? What material will stick? Should I hang or use glue, what glue? Like should I do cardboard letters, Styrofoam ? Let me know please, I don't have any fancy equipment either:/

Hi, so sorry for the late reply. But it can be difficult with out seeing the setup. The best I can say is to try to setup and try before the day to see what works best. You can try command stickys or hooks, fishing string or even hot glue gun since the backing is metal. And for the sign, lighter is always better if you are having trouble hanging it. You can also think about hot glue gun with small magnets from Home Depot because the backdrop is metal. Just a couple of thoughts and good luck!

@MakerDecor thanks for the input. I must have forgotten to mention that the stand is metal with a cloth cover. So not sure how to hang It on the cloth cover. Any ideas?

@@mariakiptea9736 Cloth can be difficult, the only thing I can think are hot gluing magnets to the sign and it should hold to the metal backdrop over the material. As long as its not too heavy. But if I had to do it quick then most likely just use fishing string and hang over the back. Its inexpensive and quick. Good luck!

Hi thanks so much. The plate is from a backdrop drape system. If you go to amazon and type in Drape backdrop system you will get a couple different options but they are all similar. They really work well and we have used them for a lot of different backdrop setups.

Hi, yes it is. You can buy them just as stickers with out the hooks. I usually just buy the big pack of command stickers. But walmart has come out with their brand and so far they work as well, just cheaper.

Hi thanks for watching. I just used some material I had from Walmart. Just cut it a little bigger and poke in some grommets. Then put some screws through the grommet and its done. A easy and quick way to change the color with out painting!

How do you hang the sign on fabric

The sign is held in place with fishing string over the top. I does take some finessing to get in place moving the string up or down. Definitely helps if someone is holding it in place and a second person ties it over the top in the back to the screws.

Can you tell me what is the pink material you are using as a cover?

Hi thanks for watching. The pink cover was just basic material I bought from Walmart. I have it in beige, light pink and light blue. I just placed it over the backdrop and traced the outline lightly. Then folded it over with a couple inches over hang to bring to the back. First I put some screws through the material and back of the backdrop to tighten the material over the backdrop. Then I took off the screws and placed grommets over the holes from the previous screws. Then sewed tight around the edges and it fit perfect. The one pictured was from a slightly bigger previous backdrop. But the same concept will work.
