This honestly did not work. I had the black screen and it would vibrate and stuff and the screen would at least be on, but right after i clicked the two buttons:home and power, and held it, it just never turned back on. Like I tried everything! I charged it, i held the power button like you do when you want turn on an iPhone that was shut down, and I tried doing the holding two buttons thing again. Now it’s just not responding to anything. (And yes, i did wait after I clicked the two buttons,) someone help?

Tho I now that I'm late XD But this work very well to do the hard reset.. First Connect you're phone to you're PC open iTunes Then Pres low volume button and lock bottom at the same time then just stop pressing the lock button.. You should see a message in your computer

i upgraded my iphone to ios 11 but then i was selling it so i reset it now it says first that if you have ios 11 running on another device then bring it near if i am ding that its of no use then if i click on set up manually so it says your iphone could not be activated because the activation server cannot reach try connecting it with itunes (which have done) or if this problem persist contact apple support what to do i have iphone 5s please tell fast and also my iphone is switching on and off on its own will
