I just got my printer a few weeks ago and I’m printing the Mark 6 as my first big project. I’ve wanted to wear an Iron Man suit since I was 8, and I’m so happy to finally be making it happen! Thanks for the tutorial, I had no idea how to go about the strapping

Nice man! I just finished my War Machine mark 1. Made the armor out of pepakura EVA foam. I used the old school buckle method to strap the pieces. The button straps to connect the bicep to the forearm and calve to thigh is genius. It really shows the mobility for the suit. I am using the Chicago screws for that connection. I am going to switch it out and use the strap button like you showed. That is genius next level thinking. Thanks for the in depth tutorial.

Thanks for the awesome video! I appreciate the level of detail you go into on why and how the harness is set up. Excited to see it all painted up and I'm excited for your helmet motorization tutorial as well.

Tried to help take any confusion out. Torn on doing the helmet motorization tutorial cause I feel like I'm just barely understanding it but may be good showing anyone can do it if I can 😂

Looks amazing dude! Your moving around pretty smooth in it as well. It's going to be an epic suit when your done. How does the walking feel?
@SaturdayMorningProps Жыл бұрын
thanks man, Honestly it feels fine moving so far, I know in your vids youve mentioned sometimes a pressure point develops over time like the one on your knee. Going to Fanexpo chicago so we will see then i guess

Do you happen to have a link to the files for the mounts to join the chest an back piece?
@SaturdayMorningProps Жыл бұрын
They are just the shoulder straps printed again but I sliced off the edges to make them smaller and used a heat gun to bend them a little
@Domon1106 Жыл бұрын
So when you mentioned that you just combined them in mesh mixer bruh you saved me allllll the time.
@SaturdayMorningProps Жыл бұрын
For those back flaps? Yeah printing each flap and the overhangs were gonna take so much support material and time

@@SaturdayMorningProps man frfr it was miserable trying to fit those an im using to neptune 3 plus they finally came out great today

Hey man thank you very much for that video i have printed out the exact same suit from Do3d and that helped me a TON!! Just one quick question if you allow: Why does the Cod piece needs to be freely moving because i figured it would look a bit more "closed" if its also been welded to the rest of its respective section. Would love to hear if it benefits moving in the suit or if it is possible to also weld it to the rest of the section. Thanks mate!
@SaturdayMorningPropsАй бұрын
@@m.f9170 it eliminates armor pinching in a sensitive area 😂 it being able to move even a little will stop any issues and it's fragile if you weld it. It's not anymore open with it on straps

Did u have anything holding the front chest to the back piece so when u walk they wouldn’t separate
@SaturdayMorningProps8 ай бұрын
the front attaches to the back by buckles at the shoulders, and velcro at the sides
