When making a structure name you shouldn't use "minecraft:anything", you should use a custom prefix like your online handle - "jadesprite:floating_cloud1" That way all of your structures will be under your name and won't risk colliding with vanilla minecraft structures :)

One thing you could also do to load big builds is to just use the "Limitless Structure Block" Mod, and save it that way. You can just ask the server owner to input it in.

This is pretty helpful to me since I've been building a lot of villages lately so I use these for the buildings, and I'm building minecart railroads to connect them so I've been using these for the stations.

A bit late but also if you ctrl+middleclick on the structure block it will copy the block into your hand with your setting saved on it and then you can just put it on the opposite side of the build and bam its in the boundry box. this also works for saving items in chests

I am so glad this block exists, im currently building a zeppelin for my world, designed to travel large distances, might post a vid when done, anyways it supposed to do this bye teleporting the player from a docked airship to an identical version high in the sky, giving the loose illusion of movement, then after waiting a certain amount of time, the next teleport would unlock and you teleport to ANOTHER copy of the airship docked at the new location, this means, at a minimum, i need 3 copys of the same build. And this thing ain't small, its huge, its just about smaller than some of the Zeppelins used in the 30s not by much though, if this block didn't exist i would have had to build it 3 times. 3.

You can get structure blocks and structure voids from the operator items tab in 1.20. I know the button to enable it is somewhere in options.

Exactly! I have a light sensor hooked up to a LOT of commands and structure blocks. It took about a month to get the full effect working.

Yes it's possible to add structures to worldgen using datapacks, though I have never done it personally.

You’ll need to create a generated folder manually OR create just one structure in the new world, as you’re suggesting, and the folder will be generated for you. Then everything should just work!

Is there any way to reasonably save big structures? Like, I built something like 201x201x201 and want to save that - chunking into 48x48x48 blocks is... painful. Especially with the relative block limit. At this point I am more inclined to find a way to edit the nbt files than to do it all in MC. Actually I thought this might also provide a nice way to apply machine learning to minecraft - if not for those annoying size limitations. Do you happen to also know if the load functionality in minecraft limits the size or only the save stuff? so if I edit/merge the files, can I load bigger objects? So yeah, im gonna have fun with this.

Hmm.. That's really interesting! Are you trying to paste your structure at a different rotation? If, so that'd be the issue. You'll have to manually rotate any sub-structure blocks.

Yep! You can definitely transfer structures on realms, though it's a little tricker. You need to download your realm to your computer, drop the structure into the world file, and then re-upload the world to realms. Hmm I know the default structures may not work on bedrock. If you’re on Java you can try to use the /place template command and it should autocomplete with the possible structures.

@@AvidMc I am on java, for some reason they removed loading structures manually, you now have to use redstone. UPDATE: After looking at a wiki page, i dont see anything about minecraft changing structure blocks so it must be a bug with 1.19.3.
