The instructions manual specifically states DO NOT warm up water in the solar cooking tube. I had recently sent an email asking a question about my product as the picture in the user manual didn't line up with the product in my hands. So this video was their reply...totally unrelated to my question.

I just got my GoSun Fusion in the mail today. It explicitly states to NOT to use the device for heating water by pouring it into the tube, but you're advertising this... I am confused...

Hey Luke! Great question! We had our product team add an exception in the updated manual that you can heat water in the tube only when using the tilt kit, and only when the water will be removed by the pump in the flow for shower use. Our team’s original goal in this warning was to keep customers from heating water or soup in the tube, then trying to pour the liquid out of the Fusion, which cannot be done without spilling and would be very dangerous.

The cap looks like it is the normal cap but without the electrical plug in it. 1. Would this be sold as part of the shower kit? I was thinking of buying a fusion to distill water, and this might work to pipe steam out of the fusion for collection. 2. Have you considered a product designed specifically for distilling/desalinating water? It would help with boondocking near rivers or oceans.
