Never try to loop up and back, its fine if you do a barrel roll if you dont want to overshoot, but as soon as you pull straight up, you drop your speed to below 600kmh, basically a stationary target for missiles and everybody can easily kill you even with gun, especially when you got at least 1 more enemy a4ound you

To dodge most radar missiles you want to 'notch' this works most effectively with pulse dopler radars (which are the most dangerous) you may also want to drop some chaff whilst flying sideways and turning erraticly. You also want to launch most radar missiles (especially at low br) front aspect only, otherwise they probably wont reach the target.

I have around 500 battles in the F1C-200; your Magic 2's are going to be your primary weapon. Launch >2km and you're almost assured a kill. The Matra 530's are useless mostly, and are too slow/can't maneuver quick enough to ensure a kill if the target is flying anything other than straight and level. Occasionally you can catch someone unawares around 5km, however I don't recommend even bringing them. People bring the three 2k bombs because that'll score a base kill, plus two to three kills with the magics/guns is a lot of RP. It's a maneuverable aircraft, however similar to the delta wing mirage you burn energy like it's cool. If something tries to turn into you to take the fight, absolutely get out of there. You're an ambusher aircraft. Not a dogfighter. This is not to say you can't occasionally find a good situation to gunfight, because the DEFAs are incredible guns when you can land a hit.

I want to buy it to start grinding air, I want to grind French air because I'm Dutch myself, I like the tech tree and I already have a bit of progress in the ground tree. Is it worth it or should I invest in a Russian or German jet? Because I also have progress in those tech trees. I just bias the French one because it seems the most fun/exciting

the good think with the 530e is that it's a j band missile so it won't alarm ure opponants rwr

530F: Yep a single chaff and it's gone, but it's also need a tons of time to activate, lock then come off the rail. Even if you are start the engagement first most likely the enemy's missile will reach you befor your does so you need to try to dodge the head on missiles every single time. Magic 2: Full brain damage, if you lounch it in relatively close range or an angle where the missile have the time to close the gap before it's start to see the enemy flare [which it does quickly] than they are a goner... magic 2 just simply give no fck about flares from certain angels and distance. The head-on is a bit problematic cuz of the all aspect range but it will connect. Horse cocks [not super 530]: It's basically just a meme. You basically have 2 good missiles, 2-3 "are you afk?" buttons, an okay engine, good energy retention and it can pull rly hard which means you will see "Lost Control" in like every 5 seconds.

The reason the droptank is facing downwards a little bit is because the jet wil be at a bit of an angle most of the time. That's because if you're flying exactly horizontaly, you'll always lose a little altitude. So you pitch up a little bit to counter it, so now your droptank is now facing correctly

JAS stands for (rough translation) Fighter, attacker and recon and it's still considered a fighter in game, doubt they will introduce the new class of multirole even for the F/A 18 😂

1:07 MTI works better than the SRC mode since SRC is affected a LOT by ground clutter... MTI is basically the first gen PD(PULSE DOPPLER) radar mode. And since it isn't really pulse Doppler.. it lacks the clutter filter .. so basically it will lock onto chaff way more than a PD radar

the radar missiles on the Mirage are nice, but only with the right radar, which the mirage doesn't have. i opt for 2 gun pods, a missile on the belly and 2 Magic 2s.

Don’t fire any semi active radar missile in rear aspect, unless you are very close (under 2km). These are best used in head ons or side aspect shots, especialy the pulse seeker missiles. The Magic 2 is a very good missile but don’t use it in head ons because the proximity fuze has an arming delay of 1.5 seconds if I remember correctly, which means that you need a direct hit.

For anyone grinding the Rafale and find this video, stay low and carry your magic 2s, launch them within a mile and it’s pretty much a confirmed kill. Radar mussels are trash and the bottom middle is equally as bad

Just a small note the f16 is a multi role fighter like the f18 and its in the fighter line so I imagine the f18 would have gone there probably the same with other multirole airframes but it’s a naval aircraft so it will probably go in the naval line

The regular Dorito mirage is essentially just a slightly worse F-16 (at least I'm pretty sure, I haven't played it much) so if you like that you might like the Dorito

I love this plane but i never got make the radar missiles work. Its seems like if someone on the map drops one chaff the missile instantly goes after that. The magic2-s on the other hand are nasty

Hey just so you know fox 1 is semi active radar homing and fox 2 is ir missiles and fox 3 is active radar homing the f1c has fox 1 and fox 2

magic 2s arguably best ir missile in all of air rb r73s dont accelerate nearly as fast (but alot more manoeuvrable for close range) and yeah r27ets have 0 manoeuvrability and worse irccm (more flarable) but have the longest range of all the ir missiles in the game

mirage f1c one of the worse maneuevering planes at the br it gets out turned by f4 phantoms and harriers the delta one on the other hand is top 10 in the game in terms of manoeuvrability (you can test drive the event variant)

well, hate to be that guy, but they definitely ARE the same family of missiles, the Matra R-530 and the Super 530s are based around the same original design, the Super 530s, as the name suggests, improve upon it's predecessor the R-530.

I have a close to 2 K/D in it after 600 battles. If you have some trigger discipline your Magic 2s are 2 guaranteed kills. Try to fire between 1-2km and in rear and 2-2.5km in side aspect. Dom‘t fire them in head ons because the Magics have an arming delay of 1.8 seconds for the proximity fuze. Ditch the Super 530F for gun pods or the 530E and you can get some hilarious orbital strikes too. It‘s not a meta plane but very consistent.

... by looking at that gameplay, i would hope that you somehow purchased that jet, without EVER flying in jets before, OR have any idea how to dodge or engage smartly in midtier jets, and yes i dont consider this one high tier, its still over 1.0 from toptier, AND is imo over bréd atm, since it got a larger jump than most planes on last br change, it was hella good at 11.3 in its old br bracket, but now its kinda meh, facing most F14´s that has way better radar and radar missiles than you, the real gold for france is at the F2000-CS5 or wtf its called at 12.3, that one IS real good.

Stop using the droptank. With you taking 20min normally it never got even close to half empty so you should be fine without some extra 10min in the droptank

Main reason I do it is because we can't dump fuel. The drop tank might add drag but I prefer having some extra burner time that I can ditch vs internal fuel weight that I'm stuck with
