There are so many wo long mechanics and boss’ in certain areas. It would be nice to have a guide that covers what exploration to do, skipping bosses if possible, in order to make the game as easy as possible. It won't be like Elden Ring, where you can almost have max flasks and tons of spells and gear before even killing any bosses after the tutorial one. However, as long as the game progression for most areas isn't totally linear, then there is probably a collection priority before you are forced to progress through a particular gating boss to get to the next chapter.

I like the game but its not as impressive as people are gassing it up to be. A cool character that does not interact with the beautiful terrain around him, no climbing or swinging etc. You just run around and and fight O.P bosses. I thought it be a bit deeper than that. If you have x box this is honestly just unfair, this game is so freaking good, it feels good, in some ways it's like ghost of tsushima , in others gow, maybe even a little ff16 too, I'm playing on ps and it's so insane how good this looks, Xbox should have this too man..there's an insane level of care and love in this game that's so deep and rich for this game that it literally pours out in every little detail, so much so that that same love seeps into the player, its almost infectious from the moment you begin the journey, from the backstory animations, the scrolls at the end of the chapters, the hidden lore within them, it's crazy that you can actually feel the difference between games from the US and games from around the world, this has literally been an fulfilling gaming experience (at least so far) i just wish gaming today always felt this good.

Developers have to not only develop for the x but the s Also, and it's not made to be as powerful as the x, it makes formatting the games difficult for a lot of developers, which is why I feel Xbox has a small catalog of newer game from third party devs, it's like trying to make cyberpunk 2077 run of a switch in a way, Microsoft has this standard that all games must release on both platforms simultaneously, and that can be a headache so a lot of people kinda just a f it, it kinda sucks bc it's not that I want Xbox to suck, I grew up playing and finishing all the old halo games with my stepdad in middle school, I remember school night when everyone was asleep and hik waking me to play reach✨✨ magical the tone of the touch button when you turn on the 360, classic, especially with all the demos, so it kinda sucks to see this state of gaming, cause it's not just Xbox

So many aspects of this game remind me of Nioh 2. I’m surprised no reviews have made this comparison. The transformations are very similar to the yokai transformations. The shrines are similar to shrines in Nioh 2. The combat is similar in the way you use different stances, combos and skills. Even level design is kind of similar.

I’ve beaten Elden Ring, but I was overlevelled. I’m a bit concerned about the difficulty. I don’t want to waste my money if I’m gonna end up stuck at an early boss because I just suck. I’m an old man, I don’t have the patience I used to have to beat my head against a boss 20 times to finally beat it. I don’t think I died more than maybe 3 times to any Elden Ring boss, but you had summons, the ability to overlevel and get some killer weapons. Basically I’m worried my skill level will limit my enjoyment of the game, that’s all. It’s not a fault of the game, but a fault in my skills that I’m concerned with.

Everything so far seems to be positive. Steam reviews are great and the game seems to be a great PC version without crazy crashes/performance issues. Western devs take notes here.

It drops frames hard whenever there are too many particle effects, like the chapter 2 boss will make a 3080 drop all the way down to choppy 30 frames for a few seconds. Recommended specs are lowballed to hell. But it's a great game. Pure fun, huge chunk of content for $60.

From my experiences and what I've gathered from others there hasn't been anything that major with this game. Aside from it just being somewhat demanding in places, depending on what's happening on screen and your settings.

I am really slow with this game, I do not have good reflexes and are paying with time playing; struggling with the bosses fight is not fun, in that regards it is very similar for me to Elden Ring boss fights, I am still in chapter 2 because are stuck at the Tiger's temple; I have finished mostly the whole chapter 2 but can't move pass the Tiger yet so I decided to go back to the area right before the Rock bosses, before encountering the pig and right in that tiny area I am playing hours on end leveling up to get sparks and unlock more survival points; currently i am at level 84 but leveling here means only sparks; it does not makes one strongest just better prepared, I need more stamina and mana to keep moving I am short of it for this fight so i keep putting couple hours here and there to harvest sparks; i did the math the game seems to have 288 spots for upgrade; that is what I counted so far, could be more so that menas if I wanted to awaken everything would need 200+ more sparks! in any case, my choosing so far have been upgrading the staff stance and pillar stance fully, I do not like the trust one so much yet, I tried fully upgraded and dont know how to use it well yet; I am on PS5, then I am working ob filling the Stamina tree and the Survival Tree; that is like 40 or 50 more points which is a lot, i only harvest like 5 sparks per hour of repetitive game play going around in the same area which is really boring but that is my fault because my skills and not the game's fault; one thing though is in PS5 there are lot of crashes; at one point I almost beat the Tiger; had 15 percent health and was one charge attack away from beating him when the game crashed; it just freeze up! boy was I royally pissed! so far I am at 33 percent in chapter 3 and whooping 38 hours game play but must of that time is harvesting sparks and having to play the boss fights over and over and over; I certainly do not like a boss fight every 10 steps but it is what it is; i hope to finish the game one day! -- Update; I just beat it, advancing now, finally!
