@@gino3593 I'm in ng+2 with 5 curio slots, 3 of them have golden spikeplate (+34 def each) and the other 2 have Agate jar (+14 def each). I'm wearing the secret chapter 6 set that gives you defense based on how many awakened relic slots you have, and I have all of them. If i went to ng+4 I'd be able to raise my defense to around 935 with 2 more golden spikeplates.

Just a note for Venomous Armguard, you only need to destroy atleast 4 of the 6 arms at the back of the Venom Daoist to get the piece also when your Immobilize is on cooldown you can wait for his attack in whice he does a combo and the last being a leap while holding 2 of his blade to plunge this will make him stuck for a few seconds.

still, after all this hassle, you see how poison deals so little damage, almost nothing, and you need to have special weapon for it, while if you have better one, or gear/curios that focus on increased attack damage, you would have far more dps. Unless you intend to do hit and run tactic with poison and cloudstep, where you wait for poison to work its way, but on video guy is hitting boss all time.

Also, about first armor, final boss battle is in water, so you get full benefit of it, healing all time when on low life. Still, last boss can easily crush you with 2 hits if you have 50% of health, so you wont be able to be fully reckless, it will allow you to get few low damage hits.

@johndymond4596 honestly, he was surprisingly pretty easy to read, since we have similar moves. I'd recommend maxing all your stats (health, mana, stamina) and trying the spellbinding spell. I was doing so much damage to him

The secret wukong armor does much more when u got all the relics u can use the end game stance like in tge last boss after u use 4 focus points last for a minute

@mishakovalenko Nah. The sage stance is just restricted to only be used in chapter 6. However, if you complete NG+, and NG++, you'll completely level up your relics (all three perks active on each relic) and this also allows you to use the sage stance when you gain 4 focus points on your NG+++ playthrough

Not to mention you only max level at your third maybe fourth playthrough IF you grind a lot… so you are also not considering players on their first run. So my argument stands.

For the skull of turtle treasure I think you may need to finish the enemy with a heavy attack square on to the head to get the helmet. This could just be luck, but after killing him 10+ times, i rewatched the clip and noticed that's how @KhrazeGaming killed him. Sure enough, next try killed him with a heavy attack to the dome and got the item.

I've been annihilating bosses with my poison build setup. It really gives almost like a melee Plague Mage feel to it. Plus the armor is coolest looking set in the game imo

Rocking the same build in NG+ with the venom armguard. The adept spine staff pairs nicely with that. Elder Amourworm, Deathstinger, and a lot of holding staff spin to pop poison bane with Whirling Thrusts to really skyrocket crit chance...

You can change your armor anytime too, so remember you don't need to "wear" the armor that refills your health in water all the time. You can just put it on when you find water and then fill your health and put on good armor afterwards.

I youst started NG+ and got the idea to unlock alitlebit of all stances to have them all since last gear you get works well with all stances. For some "unrelevant" skills i managed to get the last nodr in all of them not maxing some nodes. Now i will work towards that goal, super diverse and different playstyle when you have all 3 combat styles at your disposal!

Amber prayer beads and earth wolf spirit is insane for focus gain, it’s super busted. 2 light combos or a few seconds of staff spin is enough for 4 focus points

I hope your testing wasn’t running as far away as possible because since the clone would be locked in a location you moving too far from that location would eventually release the technique. If you stayed near it indefinitely that probably would have been a more accurate and better test

Also yes, you can upgrade armor rating. In chapter 3, you'll find the "North Shore of the bitter lake." Run around until you find a dragon in water. Fight and beat the dragon, then they'll give you a quest. Go see Xu Dog in the Cellar, get the medicine then deliver it back to the dragon. When you do all this, you'll unlock a scroll that takes you to a secret hub world where the dog, monkey, and dragon and now here. In the far back in a tiger blacksmith and he upgrades your armor.

For tiger curios use a spirit too it speeds up the process i guess . It may work for you guys I'm not sure coz I used fully upgraded rat archer. It took me 8 tries to get the curios.

Does anyone know how MUCH water you need for the Serpent Scale Armor effect to start working? I ask this because you might be surprised at just how much water there actually is around the map, small pools and puddles mainly but there's a LOT of them and they seem to be in areas where many fights take place. I’ve still yet to understand what it means to “see through an enemies attack.” Is it like a counter hit parry state thing or what? In the in game videos it shows the staff glowing red as an indication you can do it but I’ve never once noticed that happen when an enemy tries to attack mid combo.

Basically as ur doing ur light attack combo u do a heavy attack right as ur about to get hit it will negate the attack and boost ur damage and give focus

its like a parry without the stagger. if you time it right, you will see the red particles and negate the damage of the attack while attacking yourself. note that because seeing through an attack doesnt stagger, you can get hit if your attack doesnt stagger them afterwards or if their second hit in their combo hits before your hit can even register. (less important if you can hyper armor through it but if you get staggered, your attack cancels)
