How long should it take to heat up? I’m trying to use mine for the first time but the indicator color never changes from red to yellow.

How the heck do you get to the battery?? I don't wanna break it but it's not turning on and it says to remove plastic from battery...well I can't get to battery

It took me a while too to figure out ;) Don't turn, but SLIDE the bottom portion of the curler (the grey part) open to expose the AAA battery.

Where was the explanation? Mascara first or no? How long do you hold it to the lashes? Etc

The heated lash curler should only be used BEFORE mascara for best results. How long you hold the heated lash curler to your lashes depends on your desired curl, feel free to keep pressing abasing them for a more dramatic result. Hope that helps some more!
