How to Help Your Kid Be a Good Party Host | Birthday Party Etiquette for Kids

I sat down with my five-year-old son to talk with him about his hosting skills as we prepared for guests arriving to his birthday party. It went as well as you might expect.
I was trying to give him some pointers on:
-welcoming your guests
-being intentional when saying goodbye
-being grateful for gifts (not expectant)
Even if he only absorbed 20%, that’s ok. My goal was to just introduce these concepts. I think it went fairly well for our first conversation on the topic.
