Hey everyone! Update from the future! In this video I use a product from the body shop. I don’t support then as a brand due to their multi level marketing business structure. This video was created before I knew what an MLM is. However I want the advice in this video to still be available 🖤

Benefits POREfessional primer has worked well for me. I also like Murad’s Oil and Pore Control Mattifier Broad Spectrum SPF 45. While it’s not a primer, it’s good to use before applying makeup. Not only does it protect my face from the sun but it also minimizes the appearance of my pores.

I would absolutely love love an updated video on this subject with any new techniques or products you’ve found over the years for this pore issue- I have combo skin - large pores in the t zone then dry everywhere else. It keeps me from really wearing makeup at all because I feel like it just highlights my flaws - I would really really love to be able to use makeup for a polished put together look - but those pores are killing me 😂

Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've learnt so much from you over the years Robert. I'm now starting from the very beginning of your channel so that i can fully learn everything I can, as well as trying your techniques on myself.....I'm not going to lie, I'm a little anxious but i really want to look and feel good about myself again. I'm in my 40's and although i wore makeup alot up to the age of 31, it didn't look good because i didnt really know how to apply it properly and it was so textured and uneven and my eyeshadow was one block of boring, patchy colour 😅🤣😂 I'm determined to get it right though. Anyway, thank you so much for your videos & i wish you, your family & the lovely Ashton all the very best, take care 💖💖💖💖💖

Robert, what is your opinion of serums? Retinol, vitamin C & E and Hyaluronic serum?
@4everGirlStar5 жыл бұрын
My problem with blurring primers is that most of them use microplastic (alongside other dangerous substances) to get that blurring effect and I don’t want to harm myself or the environment… My Angel Veil has always done a great job at blurring but… it’s most likely carcinogenic AND uses microplastic, so I decided to not buy it anymore. Are there any blurring primers that do not use microplastic as an ingredient that you know of?

I have a question I'd appreciate your advice on. I have hard core dark circles under my eyes. Literally the only thing that gets rid of them is peach color corrector. Yet...I also have hard core wrinkles, mature skin, however I explain it. No matter _what_ I do, immediately my wrinkles are... like I'm pointing a blinking neon sign right at them. Primer, no primer, brush, beauty blenders, powders, no powders, I have tried everything I have seen to try to not have makeup settle in them. I don't understand how to avoid it though, they are visable with or without makeup (the wrinkles) If I use just foundation, it's just awful because I feel it accentuates all my skin flaws opposed to help hide them, but under my eyes it's turns much darker. I have to use color corrector. Then I can't seem to avoid foundation to hide the color corrector or I wouldn't even wear foundation at all honestly. What do you suggest for mature under eye skin? That's my number one thing that makes me so insecure. I love makeup and have been doing it for a good 24 years now but as my skin is changing, I'm lost and am spending way too much money trying to figure it out. Thank you if you even read this 💕

us people with extremely oily skin have to moisturize even more. our skin makes a lot of sebum bcuz it thinks it needs more moisture. why I dont know. by moisturizing with a really good hydrating moisturizer your telling your skin! STOP! making oil bcuz im moist enough already! so dont be afraid to moisturize, dont be afraid of face oils and serums! scrubbing every day is not good! once a week maybe 2 is fine. use face mask every other day and your skin will improve and not make too much oil!

If a guy doesn't want to look like he is wearing makeup, I would invest in to two products: 1st apply a dab of Dr. Brandt Pore Refiner Primer, 2nd follow up with just a dab of Philosophy Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker Primer. This combo mombo will cost about $90, but will last you several months, trust. I apply it on my nose, upper cheeks and forehead. Maybe Robert will demonstrate for you, but they do have a blur effect too, yet invisible to the naked eye. PS no tools needed, just a finger or two.
