I always brush in my ground blinds, and im not paying $600 for a heavy soft blind that you need to move with an atv or tractor. You give great advice for setting up a property, but I wish you'd start to realize that some of us can't afford the stuff you make or pitch in your videos. It's not a knock on you, just a suggestion, as ive learned a lot from you as ive went through doing my 1st plot this year thatbis just shy of 1 acre. And putting in whatever tubs i can get my hands on to put in water sources. So thanks for the great advice.

The strategy still applies. I don't own property and I can't afford these blinds. But, like you, I can brush my $80 hub blinds on my leased land in until they look like Jeff's.

In the north the problem with all soft blinds is heavy snow

Ok, I like to get my does out of the way asap. Any thoughts on the best way to do that without messing up my mature bucks?

I've used cheap Amazon blinds for a few years now. $100 for 2 seasons. Have about 7 acres ro hunt and sonfsr ive been lucky. I appreciate all the information and knowledge. It doesn't always apply to me here in North Florida, but common sense weees out the stuff i can't use.

I use several hard side blinds on low platforms and use military camo netting, along with planting switchgrass and Miscanthus x Gigantis for screening. Thanks for posting this video. Cris

Do you leave these Ghillie blinds out year round? I am looking to order one but I am not sure if I want to set it up, and take it down every season/off season. Thanks for the promo code!

Hi Anthony! We leave ours out year round and we've had a couple last since 2017. A great idea is to use a shower curtain rod to support the roof for the Winter months with excessive snow fall. Instead of taking them in and out each year, I would rather just replace the cover every several years. They set up very tight! Nice to set up with a helper or two just for time-wise, but man they are really stout when all-together. The one we have on a sled we may bring back in for the winter just because it is so easy to pull around.

Looks great Jeff! Can’t wait for the season to open. My food plot is taking a hit from drought again this year, but I’ll see what I can do to save it and be successful still this fall. 👍

Hi Alex!! We are pretty good on our Ghillie blinds, but that op n window on the blind invited a wasps nest under the chair 🤦🏻‍♂️ However...man under the drip edge of all of our other hard blinds ... Serious troubles!! Point is tho...man, blinds in general are hornet nest magnets. We have been pretty fortunate on our ghillies, however I'm not saying they are better or worse...just probably lucky on the few locations we have

I have 8 stands up and 2 tripods, but i love my ground blinds. I have the perfect sneak in route so nothing knows I'm there, i can sit there in the rain and not get wet and just walk deer walking around. Mine sit on the ground with cedars behind them . They're killer for small strips of woods that are to thick to be up in a tree because the trees are so thick but on the ground you can see everything and during the rut bucks cruise in there all day.

I brushed in a blind 1 year ago. Since then, the leaves have all died off. Its in the woods on a trail... not silhouetted. Should i brush it in again or do you think the deer are used to it?

A decent popup blind helps keeps the rain/ snow off you. This offers no weather protection. Downside in my book.
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 Ай бұрын
What offers no weather protection? Not sure if you are referring to a Redneck Ghillie Blind? The Ghillie is laminated to a heavy vinyl type material custom fit ov and a steel frame. The material is at least twice as thick as the thickest pop up blind. The blind itself is nearly completely wind proof. Several times more weather proof and longer lasting 😉 I wasn't sure what you were referring to tho...so excuse me if that is TMI

@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 Thank you for clarifying that info. From the outside though it just looks like a ghillieie suit, which is definitely not waterproof. Waay too expensive though for the common man. Would be cool to see a common man budget series of vids. 2x4's and plywood type thing.

Thousands of dollars for all this..... times are tough. A deer only has maybe $100-200 worth of meat on it. It doesn't justify itself. Keep it simple. Please do a video on the very basic needs for hunting deer.

Mostly hunting in tree stands but on occasion a ground blind is the perfect answer. There is no bigger rush than being at the deer’s level eyeball to eyeball. Luv the topic and info. Thanks Jeff
