How awesome! We also do hiking / trekking with our toddler in Nepal (he's now 2 but we started early as well). He's clearly the happiest when outdoors. It is amazing how the outdoors can bring out the best in kids.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I like the pack extra snacks tip. My son ends up throwing a lot of them on the ground haha. We always let him walk as much as he wants so he sleeps good on the way home. Cheers!

Thanks for a great video! I just stumbled across your channel and am very intrigued :) One question I just have to ask: why are the both of you wearing Packer hats? It was the first thing I noticed, as I live in Wisconsin USA, and I am just dying to know how there are Packer fans all the way in Scotland!
@BairnandaBackpack4 жыл бұрын
Hey Erin. Hehe. Good question! We have really good friends who are from Green Bay. They work with us in Germany every year and love to give us souvenirs from Wisconsin. They are super awesome hats and we have made them our adventure hats. 😂 We visited them and the stadium a few years ago and loved our Wisconsin experience full of football, cheese and amazing nature. You live in a beautiful part of the world. ❤️

Thank you! Scotland is definitely beautiful and I am sure you would love it! We are just so disappointed we can't get to the mountains with all the restrictions at the moment but we will appreciate them all the more after lockdown! My great auntie knitted his hat - she's a talented lady! Thanks for popping over to my channel! ❤️

Cool trip. Mine s 2 days...i wanna take us hiking for the b day but he havent practised the carrier anymore...i wonder if he d still be into it...or if i can carry it :D thought about camping but it s a lot of equipment to carry....if i take a stroller with all the equipment then where to store it if we wanna go hiking....?? I d go by train......
@BairnandaBackpack3 жыл бұрын
How exciting! I would recommend some shorter day walks with your little one first to get used to the carrier - for both of you. Ben is two years old now and is just so heavy! It takes some training. 😂 We camp with Ben too but usually camp near the car with easy access to equipment so it would be a lot to carry of you were travelling by train. This video might be helpful for you too. Happy adventuring! kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJPWgZlmn72Ujc0

pls dont apologize. i myself have been mountaineering/climbing for 20 years. i tookmy 18 month old on a 3 mile trail on a cheap baby carrier, i am planning to invest on a kelty or a deuter $200-$300 new. trying to find a used one, have you guys tried an overnight camping?
@BairnandaBackpack3 жыл бұрын
@@chadthaddeusanthonymercado132 The Deuter is great. We have the Osprey that we use most often but we picked up a Deuter second hand and it is also very good. Yes, we overnight camp but haven't tackled doing that completely on the mountains yet, just at the foot of the mountain. I made a video when we were camping in summer which you may find useful? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJPWgZlmn72Ujc0
