That is good practical advice on how to aim so that the ball finishes on the desired end target but is not how to hit dead straight shots as the title states.

I do swing from in to out...I like this suggestion Chris. I have been lining up right and trying to draw it, but much of the time, I don't get that draw. In fact, I notice that all the guys in my group are bad with their irons, and all of us are pretty good with our drivers (wedges and putters aren't bad either). I think it's that constant need to hit that 7-iron 160, 165 (others in my group hit it 170 or more, but they don't score well). Yeah, I can hit it 160-165, but can I keep my form, tempo, spine angle, etc., when I'm trying to hit my 7 that far?? Tomorrow I am taking 1 or 2 irons more all day. I'm going to swing easy, keep my posture and tempo, and just see what happens. I can still step on one if I need a 7 instead of a low flying 5, but I've got to get more balls closer to the flag from 160 and in. It's the only thing keeping me from the mid to low 70's.

Love this, sure you've covered this before as I attempt this already, and it can work well for me, as I too have a right club path...until I pull it, then the bad language kicks in 😆⛳🏌️‍♂️☀️

great tip Chris as always keep up the good work …...sometimes during a round things go off the rails you need little tips like this to finish the round and then go to the range and work it out

I have that problem of hitting to the right and have to aim farther left , sometimes the ball goes right where I aim . That is golf though , thanks for the advice ,

I like this an awful lot. Pulling together several well known strands but applying it in a very different way. There's a huge difference between working on things and being out on the course. Despite our best intentions and working on our game, it can and will go wrong - that's the nature of the game. A short term fix for the course sounds grand. After all, is it a game of how or how many?

Hi Chris, if your normal path is to the right and a draw flight, wouldn't aligning left 5 degrees just move your distribution left..... unless when you rotate left are you keeping the clubface on the pre-rotated alignment (or slightly more open than normal) to reduce the rate of draw spin?

So if your on the course in a tournament would you rather try and do it ‘the right way’ and shoot 80, or aim a little left and shoot 72?

Chris help me out please. You said you aim straight usually and have an in to out swing path and hit a draw back to target. Now you tell us set up left of target and your usually out to the right swing path is dead on target. Why didn’t you draw it into the left bunker. You never once mentioned what you did to keep the club face straight to the path. Your basically aiming left and hitting a straight block but you didn’t explain why it didn’t draw???
