Great video. Not using any more loft than the shot requires is great advice. It's all about setting up with the feet slightly open and the sternum left of the ball and turning it back and through the ball while keeping weight on the left foot. I find that it's easy to make a connected backswing with the upper body if I focus on taking the club back with the right armpit. This minimizes wrist action and gives me good control of the backswing length. The downswing is a simple covering of the ball with the sternum. The speed and length of the backswing and downswing determine distance. Good tempo, tension free confidence and commitment to the shot are all important.

Good demonstration. Enjoy listening to her. Lots of activity on the road behind her.

Hi Ben thank you. The road behind me is the north wales coastal path so it always has lots of walkers and cyclists on it

Thanks, great reminders. Just had a couple of rounds as the course opened here near Toronto. Can’t practice yet. Hoping we can do that soon. Lost my confidence for this shot, so this video was a great reminder since I haven’t swung a club since the beginning of November. Now have to look at your videos for the driver, mine going right, so have to turn my body more and hold the lag...

Hi Wendy great that your courses are starting to open again. I’m still waiting for my first round but hopefully it won’t be too long.

SMASH FACTOR GOLF COACHING Hope your course opens soon. I have been working out and doing yoga and was still knackered...I walk and we have a hilly course.

Thanks Natalie. Scary shot for most of us ams. I would also love to know where this was filmed. Perhaps in another vid you could show us the changes to make if the pin is just over the bunker.

Hi Natalie, another great lesson. Pleased to see you're getting more subscribers, deserve a lot more. One question. I play on a course with loads of tight lies, would the technique be the same off really short grass? Gary
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING4 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary yes you just have to be more accurate with where your low point in your swing arc is. Practice chipping coins off a carpet as this will simulate the tight lie. Link in video is here, take a look. If you can achieve this a tight lie shouldn’t be a problem kzbin.info/www/bejne/rouxZXWqpZ2SqMk
