Fascinating to watch how much you have transformed after learning on the plates and from the guys across the pond. Hardly any UK instructors push this stuff so I am glad you're passing on the knowledge.

Golf league tonight. Ill try this out on the range before I get out there. I've watched several videos on recentering, getting back on to your lead foot, pushing off and such, but this is the first easy looking and practical drill ive seen. Can't wait to try it!

That heel slamming down to start the downswing. I started doing that about the 12th hole on Sunday as I thought I was hanging back a bit. More solid contact and 1 club less instantly.

Massive thanks for this tip. Just been to the range and had the most enjoyable, most satisfying practice session even using this little left heel drill. Hitting the ball longer and cleaner than ever, and even managed to shape my 7 iron - fade / draw - at will which I have never done before. Love how it brings a dynamism to my swing. Driver was good too, although need some more work for consistency. Top tippage!

long time viewer sir since way back when, love the way your channel evolves, you've been a great voice in the game--- quick question on this drill and move--- how does the getting out of the lead foot before strike result in enough downward angle of attack to get ball then turf contact? thanks!

I like this drill. Realised I’ve been doing the toe squish for a while now and it feels like it is so early in the swing, feel the move to the right and then the squish before I’ve complete the back swing. MUST turn my hips though and let the club release or I still get the odd miss strike.

it's truly amazing where we're at in golf instruction now, at least in concerning distance - not that this isn't a bad tip by any means, it's just something that looks like it might be hard to repeat consistently (and by that i mean if you consciously did this, it looks tough to bring the steps forward and back in proper time and proper amounts). If the balls weren't so aerodynamically sound, or if the drivers weren't so forgiving, it seems like the sort of movement that might get you a little wild. Love the vids, and your spot-on analysis in any case!

This is much like a feel that I try to do with my swing. I like to feel that by the time I get to the top of the backswing I've, added even more flex to my left knee.... Really gets me over on my lead side.

Hey mark i love you as a KZbinr but as all your videos have seem to become more instructional I’ve found I’m not watching many of your vids anymore because my swing is in a good spot and don’t like getting to many thoughts going on in the head lol would love to see you get on the course and do some course vlogs that’s what made me love your channel when i was starting to play golf.

Trying to understand your physics and related forces. I think I understand that forward rotational forces are paramount with weight on the front leg at impact. Does this mean that major transfer of weight to the right leg during the backswing is not actually essential, and that one can even 'raise' one's weight upwards on the backswing and come down forcefully just before impact?

Great video! I wanted to ask if you feel that by "lifting" the left heal a bit on the backswing could mimic what you are demonstrating here....a step down at impact? Just curious. I think I know the answer since lifting that heal may mean weight is more on my right foot. Your thoughts?

Keen to try this (which I will) to try and shift the needle, however I am concerned with dropping too nuch head height during / towards the end of my back swing and crashing the club into the club. To combat that outcome (which has been an issue for me), I assume I need to focus on getting up and out more pre/around impact? Currently an aggressive in to out swing tendencies

Why is it necessary to move the weight to the back foot at the start of the takeaway? I recall sometime ago, some instructors were suggesting keeping more of the the weight on the front foot throughout the swing (i.e., stack and tilt or something like that).

Don't you think there are so many different ways of hitting the driver that people start getting confused with the amount of techniques that are shown on different KZbin golf channels? This technique or this, foot up, right foot back, slightly do this do this, to be honest if we all tried all these different ways we wouldn't have enough time to actually sort out my own swing no wonder people don't have any consistency. My advice is to sort out your own swing hit the sweet spot and work on that, once you are pretty much consistent work on the speed. Slow the back spin. Too many people focus on, look how far my ball has gone woohoo who cares, is it straight, consistent? If it isn't then your just going to add more shorts to your score simple
