I am late to this party but wanted to say there are many good points given, but you really hit the nail on the head when you mentioned working on ones skill set. Such a critical tip, made a world of difference for me. I have played for over 40 years but in truth, have never really tried to "perfect" my skill set until recently. I still am not playing great golf, but am hitting more quality shots and understanding why my bad shots happen and what to do about it. Great video not only regarding the driver, but on learning what needs to be done to improve your swing.

I had this start to kick in at the range last night with my driver. I started to feel when I was coming over the top and was able to make micro adjustments until my path was straight. Even purposely hitting some baby draws instead of overcompensating with hooks. I remember now that as a kid when I played a lot of golf this is what I'd do and I was super accurate. Takes practice but feel and learning to make those small adjustments without destroying your swing is important. Really good video Chris. Very important thing to learn along with understanding technique.

Great instruction Chris. Very timely.... right at the time when I am trying to improve my drives. So many factors that have to come into alignment to create the perfect 'contact'.

Great stuff here , Chris, thank you! Got a question I'm hoping you will answer. For a 14 handicapper whose tendency is a right to left ball flight, do you advocate/encourage them to hit a particular ball flight with the driver? Many teaching pros advocate "eliminating one side of fairway" by advocating a fade or draw as one's "go-to" driver swing. Your thoughts? I know for your own game, as per your comments on your videos, you like to hit a draw. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Thanks for using the tracker. Most people coaching or giving advise never used the tracer/tracker making difficult to see results. BTW, I keeping hitting towards the heel. I have tried moving inward, slow down the swing etc. Ball flight is down center or slightly fade. Any suggestions?
@Dreama407 жыл бұрын
If i were you i would keep doing what your doing except maybe try addressing the ball slightly towards the toe at address, that slight adjustment could have you finding the centre again, because as your arms extend on the downswing they will find the centre of the club face.. I had the same problem and it worked for me. You may even be standing to close to the ball at address and extending your arms out past centre on the downswing. Try addressing towards the toe first, if that does not work try moving back very slightly at address. Remember most of the fault can be traced to your address set up/how your arms hang/ where your weight is(toes or heels)posture etc, just make sure your adjustments are only "slight" ones, you can over do it....Best of luck...Hopefully Chris agrees.

Adressing towards the toe worked for me too. When doing so and the club hovers above the ground near contact, you can see how the sweet spot is better aligned with the ball.

Hi, I am having problem with my driver hitting. Most of the time, ball flies to the right side around 30-35 degree. I am quite shock. Would like to check what is my problem and how to correct it? I just start golf around one year only. Thanks in advance. Sam

Too much rubbish & gibberish. After further review, I've confirmed that it's impossible to look at your club face during the golf swing. Everything in the target path happens involuntarily or (naturally) when you keep your arms & hands underneath your chest through the golf swing. Simple.
