This is great... but.... I've found at the 13U and younger the players may be great athletes, but many just can't wrap their heads around this idea. I've coached several teams at several levels and too many kids can't grasp it so I end up telling them to be x feet from the bag. Anytime I see an opponent with middle infielders ON the base to hold a runner at second, that tells me we're playing a team that didn't have time to coach much defense. But now that we are 15u, it's like their brains suddenly can understand how this works... of course, could be I'm just not a good coach too.
