Another good tip is to tithe pre tax rather than post tax on your paychecks! It helps increase your tithing amount a bit as well! For the longest time I was giving 10% of what ever I got deposited into my account from my check. But then I re-read Mark 12:17 and I figured I get a certain amount of money from my employer. I give back to Ceaser what is Ceasar's (Taxes to the US Government) and the I give to God what is God's 10% of that amount. What ever left is for savings and my spending. So a good tip is to check your pay stubs and see your gross earnings and give 10% of that rather than your net so you can give a little more :)

Leave it for the poor and the foreigners living among you. I am the LORD your God.” 💯 Also, if I think if my life as not my own but Christ in me, then EVERYTHING belongs to God: my life, my destiny, and also my money. It's all his. 😲 When I have kids they will be his too; my job will be to do my best to make sure they get back to Him - similar to the money thing. Lol.

And I like how you said that it's not about what we get back. We can't purchase God's gifts and that shouldn't be the intent behind giving. Someone in the Bible tried to do that with the power of the Holy Spirit and Peter told them “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!" - Acts 8:20 I think He does honour our obedience though and, as our Father, blesses us

The movie question was a good one. My husband and I were convicted a few years ago to not watch movies where people "sleep" together at all. There are so many movies where you don't need the nudity to be actually watching a sex scene, so we just avoid movies/tv shows with sexual content. I will actually go to common sense media and read a detailed description of what a particular movie has in it before we watch it. Loved all the financial insight of this video! Was very interesting in your last comment about gay people. I’m much older then you with 3 children around your age and I have brought up my children in faith they went to catholic school and bible school. So tell me when your child comes up to you one day and says they are gay do you love them less? Does God say to love your child less because he or she is gay? God is a loving God and believe me I had a very hard time when one of my children came up to me with this and said they were gay I cried I sent them to therapy I was in disbelief why me God. My child who is gay is a miracle of God at 10 months he was diagnosed with a rare case of Leukeima and went through a 8 month treatment and relapsed a month later we prayed and prayed for a miracle because at that point they told us he has 6 months to live but in my heart and soul I knew God was going to save him and we looked everywhere and found in LA children’s hospital they were doing a new treatment and he was the 2nd baby they did this treatment on a bone marrow transplant that used his own bone marrow and he still has a 35% chance of surviving and we had one shot at this and in my heart and soul I just knew that this was it that God was going to save him and he is now 34 years old. So why did God save him? To be Gay? I don’t think so because I saw the struggle in him not to be and caused him many struggles of even wanting to be alive. My son is a miracle and yes he is gay and I love him unconditionally and I also know God does to because he saved him no only as a baby but as a adult to and in many ways he saved me for being ignorant! I tell people until it happens to you you will never know the feeling! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I believe and have always believed!

I would just like to add that it's more about the spirit in which you are giving than the amount itself (Mark 12:41-43). It's not the amount or the percentage you're giving that's important, it's your heart that matters
