Brilliant vid. I purchased the AV-8B in the last sale at the beginning of 2021, but got a refund as I do not have a HOTAS. However, I have just purchased it again in the winter sale and after much perseverance, I have just about mastered VTOL. I've popped a video of this on my channel today, but after watching your video, this has given me much more information on VTOL which is a blessing as I still don't have a HOTAS and have mastered using this jet using keyboard and mouse only. 👍👍

Nice video and simple to understand , hopefully this can get me sorted on landings in the Harrier, how much in put is required around the 2.00 mark to maintain that hover as that is what i am struggling with, i can hover the UH-1H Huey no problem but not ther with the Harrier.

Takes a little time to get used to the Harrier's Hover. Use the Flight Path Vector to jusge your climb/descent. The power setting is quite high to maintain - around 85% mark. Ensure you're not too heavy also.

nice video! I find that my harrier jolts up and down a lot and i need to use rudder input to stop me spinning... i dont have rudder pedals and didnt see you mention rudder. Do you use rudder at all?

Thanks! Yes, I use Thrustmaster rudder pedals. In flight, I use rudder to keep turns coordinated unless are high G. The Harrier can only handle so much G in turns before it departs. Takes practice to know the limits and identify them before it's too late. Keep 100% power in turns too.
