For the 2nd dip, when do you take the back side? After it's clear coated or just after wash. I just purchased some films and am going to give it a shot. After watching all your videos, I will hope it come out good. Thanks for sharing.

When you mask off the first dip the tape doesn't ruin it?

How long do you wait before taping the side that was dipped? Well painter's tape pull off the print if it's too soon?
@LiquidConceptsUSA Жыл бұрын
Once it is dry you can begin taping or spraying your intercoat clear before taping. As a safety measure we spray an intercoat for protection before taping if we are worried it might be under or over activated. If not we just tape directly to it.

When you back tape the side that was done 1st. Will the tape pull off the media?
@LiquidConceptsUSA Жыл бұрын
If it is activated correctly then no it will not but to be safe you can spray and intercoat clear over the entire thing after the 1st dip to protect it before the second dip. This intercoat is able to be dipped to so there is no need to rebase the 2nd side.

Do you clear coat the dipped side before taping or no?
@LiquidConceptsUSA10 ай бұрын
It will really depend. You can tape directly over the dipped side if you activated it correctly. The safe method is to always apply a intercoat clear over the dipped areas to protect it before applying the masking tape.

It’s on their website, but I think the custom films are $35/yard. Not sure what their labor is, though.

They might have $ 20 in the film and charge 200 to 500 dollars to dip them
