Briljant. Always with the quality content Chris! Also a nice little tip for my fellow DJ's: you can add Shazam as a widget in the drop down menu on iPhone. You'll get the little (subtle) logo once it's activated. That way you won't feel embarrassed when your out there Shazaming with a huge logo on your screen :)

Amazing tutorial once again! I'm curious, I spotted a Pixelmator shortcut for a resize in your list of shortcuts, is it a shortcut to open the template directly in Pixelmator for Twitch or a more complex one? I really need to explore shortcuts more!

It actually just uses the pixelmator engine to resize an image file in finder. I used to use it to resize channel reward icons 🖼️

Chris make an app for long mixes on youtube. That will show all the tracks in that mix. It will automate in shazam showing links for each track. This way we can listen to them and find out the track name and artist. Thanks.

@ChrisM Thanks for this helpful trick. After i made the update to macOS Sonoma the Shortcut could not find the App Shazam anymore. And i cant choose ist from the shortcut menu. Do you have the same problem? Shazam APP is still on my Mac and works fine.

Does this system add them to a cart in beatport? Or is it simply a easier way to cut and paste track titles from Shazaam to Beatport

The latter - because a track search can have many results it’s not possible to know which one to add (plus I’m too dumb to work out how to automate that part as well)

Cool, annoyingly cannot seem to select variables Artist - Track name on IOS on iPhone it keeps asking for ‘select magic variable’ but can’t seem to select both artist and track name in the text box? The list only seems to come up once and can only add ‘artist’ or track name? Would love this to run in the background when listening to Kool FM and add it to a text document….

I’m a little confused by this though. What about all the bad Shazams? Meaning Shazam gives me the name of a different track from what I’m hearing? This happens ALL THE TIME. Especially when a track is unreleased.

Strange, it should work fine via the shortcut without needing to go into control centre. Give it a download from the description and hopefully that fixes it 🙂

Seems a great Hack but the Shazam part keeps answering back that something went wrong. Shazam by itself is working fine and the microphone has been allowed. But Shazam within shortcuts send an error back each time..... Trying to solve this issue if anyone else has found the answer?
