REKORDBOX HACK HERE: 1.- you can go to all collection section, select one song to the first deck and then play. 2.- then while playing, go the the playlis section and press crtl+L to show the playing song now and then it shows all collection songs and the playlist section so you can drag your songs from all collection to any playlist. Anyway i did not like too much rekordbox 7

What if I use serato and want to dj on a cdj whiteout a laptop

Luckily I started with the 1000MK3 so we didn’t have any of these features we had to do everything manually and by ear! Also if you didn’t prep properly your hot cues and loops you would have screwed up your whole set no quantize no sync, nothing lol

Thanks a lot for all the really really helpful videos. I'm in the same situation as you were. I have 650 playlists and over 10'000 tracks in Itunes. Coming from Traktor I never bothered building a Tarktor Library, because let's face it, Traktors Library still sucks after 100 years. Unfortunately the Music apps Library is getting worse with each update and has been for a while now. So I will watch this video twice, take notes, and start on recordbox. I think this is busted on rekordbox 7 cuz this and slip roll highlight on the waveform (fx) both don't show up

I can just see you hate rb as much as i do! 😛 switched recently from traktor to follow the infamous industry standards (i spin jungle and sometimes faster bpms) and just couldn't believe how wacky it is in terms of analysis. Thanks a lot for ALL your content! Not having the patience nor time to manually adjust almost every single track (even with keyboard shortcuts), i invested those 24€ in djcu to import everything from traktor to rb, my time and mental health are more important 😅

The only problem with this, is that I want 5A to show as 5A - Cm. Because then I check wether it's Cm or not by playing a Cm. Else I need to remember what the hell the key of 5A is. Just notate both. I've done this ever since I've been using RekorDBox anyhow. This isn't very helpful to me.

Hey hey! In theory, could this method also work with soundcloud+ in the same way? Love this hack but soundcloud has the benefits of some pretty nice remixes etc which you cannot find on tidal

Hey! Great video. Stupid question maybe, but... Is there a way for me to record internal audio + video with the mac microphone while in headphones? It work when I record the game that I play and the mac mic (I hear both), but once I put on headphones (AirPods), the game audio goes into the headphones and I only hear my voice in the video that records...

Thanks for mentioning vinyl vs cdj mode. I have experienced this stuttery cue behavior as well. Used hotcues as a workaround, but couldn't figure out what was going on here, even with googling. Thanks for the explanation! :)

Hi Chris, thanks for another great video. I was wondering, if you have done a video on beatmatching, sync etc on cdj's? One that shows the screen on the cdj as you do it. I have struggled to find a video that shows this clearly and it's one of the things I am most worried about re cdj's. Thank you!
