You made me dig out my old 90’s Lowrider bike build. Only thing I have that’s Schwinn is the frame. I would like to put all Schwinn components but eBay and Craigslist is super expensive. I guess the china crap I have on it will have to do. Your channel and knowledge is top notch. Keep the Schwinn alive bro. 🇺🇸👍🏽 🚲

Would love to see your bike! Ya, prices have just recently started going up like crazy. But you can still find good deals with a lil hunting. there's still Schwinns out in the wild. Some people don't know what they have. Just keep looking. And be ready to jump on the deal.

Hello! Great info, I don't believe that nut at 16:07 should be in that position, it will clatter when the fork flexes, that was the reason for the rubber bumper.

A very good tutorial video on knowing what year the frames are now here's a little tip for you now starting in 1945 okay up until 1947 look at the dropouts on these early Schwinn's from those years you can tell by how thin the dropouts are in the back for the years 1945 until late 1947 and another thing too here's another little tip on those years look for the kickstand if it's stock to the bike the kickstand will be that of a taper design or as I call them Pencil Thin kickstands if you're lucky to find a bike in that year okay those kickstands were prone to breakage during those years I hope this will help you.

@garyquail4996 I didny know that about the rear drop outs. Good info. Which sounds like they designed them too thin and then made a lil thicker to be more sturdy. I'll have to check it out on my 46. I know it has the tapered kick stand.

Hey SchwinnAdiction thanx for the videos they’re very helpful. Could you post videos of pre war post war springer forks I have a 26”springer fork 40’s-50’s it has the three bolt that goes 3/4” behind the fork. I have a 1960 26” tornado double straight bar and want to add the spring fork to it but was worried about the stem and handlebars even if it would work on my frame. Is it possible?

hey bro, sorry so late. I didn't seem to het the notification. but the prewar fork will work, (except woman's prewar Springer. it has a lil longer head tube.)
