How to identify and grow your gift of DISCERNMENT!

One of my bosses and I have been having issues. I prayed and asked God to send Angels to protect me, because I didn’t understand the strife. The next day I worked with her , I looked down and saw her finger nails. I then saw that she had odd writing on her nails, I asked her if that was a magical ward, and she openly admitted it was. I came home and began praying , because I now understand why I have been under attack. Then I saw a vision of gnashing teeth. I’m praying against any witchcraft, any demonic forces. Pleading the blood of Jesus over every aspect of my life. In Jesus name , stay awake family and friends . Praise God!!

@Tabetha Woods: The Holy Spirit revealed to me that we also, can lie with our hands and fingers. This is through electronic communications. Disingenuous texts, FB postings, etc. He led me to Romans 6:13-16. I had to repent of this. I wasn’t lying with my mouth, but with some of my electronic communications (ie: Read a sad story on FB, and post, ‘Praying for you’, etc) My desire, also, before God and before all men, is to walk in truth. Thank you for sharing your comments about the president. I totally agree with your statements. You can't mix flesh with discernment. There is good in each of us. I pray for he president all the time because that's what we're supposed to do not just praying for those we like. Discernment can also cause you to think that you know more than people or that you're better than other people. You have to be careful with this gift.

Is it odd that I feel God gave me a passion to help others in Psychology, because I can discern? UPDATE: AT the time i was still growing in the prophetic, but the Lord accelerated my growth and understanding of what it was i was asking about! Yes i am and most of you are prophetic, i have the gift of Evangelism , mercy and discernment (prophetic gifts) this is because the lord wants me and many others like me to intercede for the Lost (evangelism gift) , HOWEVER i don’ t connect this to my career choice. These gifts naturally all have to do with people so it’s natural i choose psychology as a career path . I will be pursuing this but also will be LISTENING for the Lords decision on what i do with my life and gifts. God bless you all ❤️

That is not the gift of discernment. It has nothing to do with psychology. It is a supernatural gift given by the Holy Spirit of God based on ‘HIS’ choosing. We are NOT told to ask for it or ‘grow it’. You cannot ‘develop’ something that belongs to God because He is perfect and so are His gifts. You cannot improve on anything that is God’s.

Mark Forquer you may not be able to improve on the gift but you can definitely improve on your knowledge of the gift in which you’ve been given. Otherwise you would be carrying a precious gift giving by God and doing nothing with it. It reminds me of Luke 12:48 as the body of Christie are required to fulfill the requirements of what God has given us. Whether it is resources or spiritual gifts. So to go back to your response I would say that we are required to build our spiritual muscles in whatever gifting we’ve been given for the betterment of the body of Christ. Also I believe the young lady was referring to her area of expertise and using her gift in that area. I could be wrong but that what I picked up from her response. God bless You!

While I was listening to this as I was laying down this was around 2:30 in the morning. I dose off to sleep but I could still here what you was saying, then all of a sudden, felt like I was tackle like someone tackle a person playing football. Yea for the discerner. Training comes in phases.2nd gift under apostleship. Years of seemly random knowledge gets activated, separated into their respective fields. (instruction,reproof,encouragement, ETC.) Raw knowledge comes together in such a way, Relative perspectives get made; always tailored to the person in distress, for common ground. Lastly, the Relative perspectives, begin pronouncing profound Truths: so simple yet so spot on; never deviating from righteous context. Even the gifted, most times, will be also spiritually edifyed. Giving all the more reason to Glorify the one who gives us all knowledge abundantly. Glory to God!

Im really immature with it and when u were explaining different scenarios, i was relating to it. I used to think this discernment was me being critical and judgy but now ik it was God showing me things, i was just always calling it out and complaining instead of praying. Hi Dr Faith, Is there ever a time you didn't want this gift? I feel so misunderstood at times. I don't want to feel like I'm being a negative person. I can identify the glory and presence of God, but I can also tell when God's presence isn't there and ungodly spirits are about. I know God has some kind of purpose for me. I'm just not sure what it is and how He wants to use me or this gift. All I know is that once I identify something that's not right, it's hard to keep silent. I really REALLY want to just go with the flow and act like I don't know what's going on, but its so hard.

I understand where you are coming from. All my life I have had this natural ability to see things for what they really are. In my family I am always the whistle blower and have been cast out as the black sheep because of this. I now know that this is a gift from the Holy Spirit and He does have a purpose for me. 2020 will be a year that Gods glory will be revealed through His people. I know this was a year ago, but yes, you can. God has shown me future events. My son and I were just shown something else. The storm is coming. He showed us a vision of Jonah, but a storm coming from the right. We saw the biblical city. I flew over the wall. My son saw the whale and then dove into the water finding the biblical city. We’re feeling his message that this is our time for asking for forgiveness…our 2nd chance. Time is near. It’s about to get worse. I’ve had many more dreams and they’re all adding up.

I came back from a deep and awesome praise and worship time where we were prophetically praying too. My husband said my coat smelled like smoke when I came back. I have never smoked and the home where I was at does not smoke. I'm not sure where the smell came from! I'm also not sure if this was a physical smell or a spiritual one. We were praying for the fire of God to fall (and I felt the fire of God, it was awesome!).... What should I think about this smell my husband smelled?

I had a dream that I was at this wedding, me and all the women there were part of the wedding. These people came and were dressing us I thought they were taking a picture. There were men dressed in green suits. We were infront of this huge stage. As I was looking on the stage I saw this beautiful bride her gown was pure white. I heard someone saw the bride is ready. Here's what it is. Discernment causes you to see black eyes when a person has a vile Spirit. The right eye is darkened in those who are backslide. There are many things that are seen to indicate the condition of someones Spirit. It is not SPIRITUAL INSIGHT, but what you literally see is changed. When you get close enough to God to receive this Holy Gift, you will not miss use it. If you were to start miss using it, it would depart from you. Or, even worse you would yourself become possessed. Another example, when some is deceptive their eyes reveal it through darkness. Another example, I've seen some who are so full of darkness that their skin color turns a cloudy charcoal color. I confirm what I say in the presence of Almighty God. Bless you in the Faith of our LORD.
