Dealing with the ground ivy now and having a hard time. Finding it too time consuming to remove by hand and considering going the chemical route.

What weeder tool do you use? There's so many on eBay I don't know which one to get. We have lots of dandelion weeds

Can you help mee to identify some herbs for my herbarium coppy plz

That was not crabgrass, it was tall fescue. Crabgrass is low and spreading out like a crab. Both are ugly in the lawn. Ground ivy is good as a tea but it is invasive. Clover is good for the honey bees, leave it wherever it grows. I would love to have some English lawn daisies like they have in European lawns. They are beautiful.

Nutsedge drives me crazy. I try to remove it by hand using a hori hori knife. In years past, I used chemicals but ended up burning the lawn.

fyi dont pull out that crabgrass unless its young or immature, as long as the seed heads have not forked out...or else you might as well be trying to grow more weeds

First of all thanks for the video. As far as nutsedge or killinga. PLEASE DONT PULL IT. Only makes it worse use sledgehammer works wonderful no more nutsedge. Another fix I’ve found. Don’t just go spray a bunch of chemicals first find out what the weed is and do a little research then one you know what it is then you know how to treat it. One weed one of the most important that has taken me many years and lots of money we need to discuss further called common Bermuda grass or wiregrass. Here is a list of selective herbicides that I have found to control it ORNAMEC with Aqua Zorb Fluazifop-p-butyl Kills Bermuda grass/weeds but won't harm the fescue. Only kills Bermuda when leaves are green spring and fall Aqua Zorb is a (surfactant) which makes it stick to leaves. Baby shampoo works the same. Turflon ester does same as ORNAMEC cheaper price Fusillade 2 & Turflon works well too for Bermuda treatment Bayer makes a product called Bermudagrass control for lawns easy to use just hook to garden hose and spray just make sure it’s during warm months when it’s actively growing. BNSF Makes a product called PYLEX which works great however it is expensive would recommend if you can afford it. You can use glyphosate/Roundup if you are doing a yard renovation or planning on putting a piece of sod down however here again make sure you spray during active growing season or non of these products will get down to the root spraying during dormant season colder weather will only result in wasting time and money and applying product where you don’t need it. As far as weed control in your lawn I have found the easiest way is to use Scott’s Weed-B-Gone garden hose may take several applications but you will get there. As far as fertilizer goes I would recommend malorganite for a safe and cheap fertilizer to apply anytime with great results. If you core aerate in the fall and oversees with a high quality turf type fescue or high quality grass seed your on your way to a beautiful lawn in the spring core aerate and over seed have in hand in the fall. A few last tips I’ve learned over the years. Don't leave any leafs on the lawn because they don't break down good in the soil causing future problems. Spot treat weeds NO blanket granulated weed and feed. Your paying from product that you don't use and spreading chemicals you don't need. Spot treat weeds that's what the Scott's professionals do Leaving fertilizer to do fertilizer work. Getting just the weed that needs the treatment.

Interesting that 1/2 the advice is just live with it. Not really my preference, but common on these types of videos.

That was my favorite aspect of the video. A monoculture, single strain of grass lawn, is a sad, boring thing to behold. Just scrape off everything and plant you a nice astroturf lawn, you'll love it.

Why is it so important to have the perfect green lawn? Why not keep the clover, the violets, the chickweed, instead of spraying your environment with harmful chemicals?
