Clean the area then start the engine to locate the exact spot where the oil is coming from. Then identify the parts required and repair

How do you know what each one is called? The biggest one in the center on the bottom of my silverado is wobbly. Not bad but i can notice it when its running and im concerned bout that. So how to know the name. Each part has a name.
@QuincyStick2 ай бұрын
That would be your crank pulley/harmonic balancer. If that's wobbling, it's VERY bad. Like destroy your engine bad. You need to get to the bottom of why it's wobbling.

Paul! This was super helpful information. I've been scared to touch the tensioner and pulleys and anything to do with my belt and you explained everything so well. I hope to see more videos from you

Thank you for this informative video Paul. I did all of your steps, removed the belt and run the engine but the noise still there. Seems to be behind the harmonic balance. Any idea what could be? Thank you again Paul.

I get a paint marker and draw the belt diagram somewhere on the vehicle, i don't get to work on anything nice as an srt so it's not an issue

My serpentine belt just broke. I heard a squealing noise but didn’t get proactive on it. Does the pulley wheel spin slow rugged when testing bearing failure?
@CrossfireRepairsByPaul11 ай бұрын
the pulleys should turn easy when good and stiff and going bad
@Ebklifestyle3 жыл бұрын
So if your tension pulley spins freely fast after yu take the belt off is it bad ? And when I try to spin the power steering pump pulley it doesn’t spin very much

Is it normal for the radiator hose to go flat? I'm asking because mine does that too and I wasn't sure if that was an issue or not.
@newb5296 жыл бұрын
Yes because it's not under pressure. No coolant flowing through when engine is off
@Meshcraft6 жыл бұрын
Thanks!
@andybub454 жыл бұрын
If the hose collapses on its own when the engine is running, you may have an issue with the radiator pressure cap.

Nice looking engine Paul.Would like to see a vid on all the upgrades you have done to you srt6.I want to upgrade my SC pulley and have a tune done.Would appreciate your advice,I don't want to go nuts since it will be me and the wife's summer cruiser but would like a little more power and some SC whistle.I've been reading on CF forum but even that gets confusing once they start talking about crank pulley's and sc pulley sizes.Thanks

Hi Paul, nice video, great content, I have question for you and maybe you could help with this. I have a Mazda Tribute 2008 4 cyl. I lost the serpentine and noticed that the top pulley was loose, so I removed it and say that the washer behind it was damaged (it's for the power steering pulley) according to a diagram I found online. The pulley is still good, not damaged. Would you know where to get that washer part without having to change all the pulleys? Many thanks, John

You didn’t really explain how the pulleys go bad my man. Care to share that with the rest of your viewers?
@CrossfireRepairsByPaul11 ай бұрын
pulleys have bearings, they get used a lot, they have greased in them that go dry and can get dirt inside of them, therefore they go bad my man
@antoninobalducci10 ай бұрын
@@CrossfireRepairsByPaul my belt came off and it wasn’t because of one of my pulleys or bearings. Happened a few days ago and they all turn fine with no noise. I’m guessing it’s the front crankshaft seal that broke or had grease?

Need your opinion Paul, took my 05 crossfire n/a to a local shop to repair a tps they hooked up the obd2 scanner to clear the code and said that it wasn’t communicating, tried a brand new scanner same thing but I’ve heard that some scanners work on the crossfires and others won’t?
