Sodium nitrate NaNO3 is a strong oxidizing agent, it is not a reducing agent. Explanation: Oxidizing agents : Those chemical substances which can undergo reduction are termed as oxidizing states. The central atom is present in higher oxidation state and after receiving electrons , it moves to lower oxidation.
