This series is going to get there. I have to start with how to get different shades of black with different media for future lessons to make sense.

What kind of paper do you recommend for this test or for marker in general?

Funny you should mention crepe - I saw a guy wearing crepe trousers yesterday (the wide ones that kinda hang straight from the hips) & I thought "they look cool, but how would you render them? I know, I'll ask Zoe!" :)

I can put in the request queue but FYI the queue is over a year long right now. I do have a prints rendering video with goes over similar concepts if you want to start there.

Hello Zoe! Its really necessary to use markers to illustrate wedding gowns with white or off white colors? If does what colors/brand I can start with?

You color the dress whatever color you want with whatever medium you want. I don't understand your question. I have a video on tips on how to handle rendering white clothes in the Illustrating Specific Fabrics playlist.

Actually I never used markers before and I want to start working with them. But I need to purchase some specific colors to start with, instead a bunch random colors that I never gonna use. I saw a video that you are rendering white fabrics using pencils, goauche and colored paper. My question is its possible to render white fabrics (opaque or sheers) using markers in a colored paper?
@zoehongteaches
@zoehongteaches 7 жыл бұрын
Not really. I have a white marker from Faber-Castell but it's not opaque like gouache is, and is somewhat streaky. I still think you should go watch my Rendering White Fabrics video.

Ok! I watched this series before and I was just curious about the possibility to render white with markers in colored paper... But thanks for your support!!! I'm preparing some drawings to show you in tumblr!

Awesome video even with just the core idea of color theory, but around 4 min, your voice over starts to go a bit warpy.
