Hello Zoe, I'm having a hard time developing my design aesthetics cause for me I am so versatile. I can do streetwear, evening wear, day dresses, gowns, sometimes my Designs are more theatrical-dramatic and avant-garde. And I love that about me. I'm just having a hard time combining all of that in a collection. Any tips? And also I'm having a hard time designing separates. Hahaha😂😂 Thanks Zoe!!

Thank you so much for your immersive video on Guo Pei which includes so many pieces as they were originally presented. Mao's destruction of many embroidered masterpieces was an attempt to rid China of symbolic wealth. After his overthrow, my friend's father ( his personal ophthalmologist) was able to flee and save a few from destruction( a part of the MET collection)

Thanks for posting this video Zoe ❤Do you know why the 2 front panels pieces of the brown suede jacket would not be identical cuts? Is it because of the button and details placement on one side compared to the other? I was wondering 🤔 what could it be?

Thanks for all the helpful content! I’ve worked with Mr. Henry Artem, and his trade signals are on another level. In just 17 days, I’ve made over $500K. Whether you’re new to crypto or looking to improve, his program is definitely worth exploring.

The Muse for a designer can be that model or image that reflects the look and feel of the brand or designers clothing. The Customer is the one that buys the clothing. Muses almost never buy the clothes they just embody it. They most likely are given the clothes by the designer but do not go out of there way to purchase them. I hope that makes sense. A Muse of a BRAND like a famous person is more of a brand partner not necessarily a MUSE. They are not meant to buy the clothing either. They are to lure the customer to buy!

I could see that Asian grandma in my mind. I always call those pants, ahjumma pants, from watching so many kdramas. I hope your podcast goes well, I will definitely be looking for it. I worked in fashion retail for many years, now retired so I guess I'm not your typical audience but a real professional who knows their stuff is always fascinating to listen to.

Actually of all the patternmaking books in my collection(was trained as a patternmaker in France) really precise instructions was the ones from BUNKA college of fashion - can be found at Kinokuniya or they can order them for you- Ignore Amazon pricing(artificially inflated)

Pattern-making book YES PLEASE. It would be great for DIY people and for those serious about fashion design, so I think it will have broad appeal. Most I've looked at were too intimidating for me to really dive into (or even just WANT to dive into) as a home sewer, so if you released one I would instantly buy it.

I’m too old to go to fashion school (I’ve got a Masters and a half already, and a full time job) but I love learning - I can’t wait to get your book and all your future books too. Pattern making and colour theory both sound excellent. 👏 pattern making first tho 🙏

Excellent topic! And the breakdown you gave with the ASIAN GRANDMA PROJECT of yours was spot on, a Muse in one thing and your Customer is something else. Thank you Zoe for all the fantastic Content you make from the perspective of a Designer as well as a Teacher who has worked in the real world on both, we really are so fortunate to have access to content like this!
