when i use a Mannequin from MIxamo and loaded into 3dXchange its making a Prop Type. I have to allign the Bones manually, but it dosent turn green to convert it...need help ? i tried this the whole day, cannot figure out whats going on here. When export to Iclone i just have character in his own Pose without any animations...wtf. please help, thanks

I was curious to know this problem ive been having. I'll keep it bullet points otherwise it could get long and messy.... Rigging via mixamo. - I have a lot of custom made, sketchfab, cgtradr, turbosquid characters... - I know nothing about rigging - When i rig them in mixamo. Im always shocked how bad they perform. Most notably the joins in arms. The arms seem to fold like a rubber tube would fold. -Just curious to know if theres a way to tweak these? -sometimes not knowing keywords or the root of the problem adds to an endless search for solutions... Good day armondtanz, not sure how to assist on this without knowing the poly flows that you made when building your objects. Other 3d programs also give a lot more options in weighting the bones properly. Maximo does not give a lot of options. You can create you basic walk cycles and then bring this into blender or other 3d program and modify the bones there for a smoother transition. Good luck to you

When I import to I clone it always imports a t pose added with the animation I choose...? any idea why? it will only let me choose the Maya rig in pre sets.

It doesn't work for me. I load in the animation and when I click convert it keeps the character in the pose of the beginning of the animation and does not T POSE. When I select the Maya Human IK pose it throws his legs and arms out of whack. There is no T POSE that works properly. Any help would be appreciated since I have spent about 3 hours on this now and I'm getting pissed.

@@ThreeDCreateTutorials I appreciate the offer. I was able to get it working for most of the files I downloaded. I found a T Pose at Mixamo and used that and it seemed to work. I have many files that don't work no matter what. The climbing ladder, braced hangs, climbing rope, freehang climb. These won't work for anything. I can email you those files if you like and see if you can get them to work. Thanks

for this procedure to work the software IClone 3D Exchange 7 and IClone 7.9 must be installed on the same computer or it can be on different computers and I export the animation folder and then import it to the folder on the iclone and what folder the iclone would be in my desktop win 7. Actually you can do this you need to update the file location for the motion in Exchange: Step 1 go to File and select Export Step 2 look for a section that says Export animation and within that section there is a check box that says Export rIMotion. This is the location were the file is sent to. You can go to that location and copy both files and put them on your other computer. Step 3 open up Iclone load a character and once you have done that then go to were you put the rIMotion files and import when your character is selected. This should update instantaneously. Hope this helps

So you didn't import the animation file to iClone. You needed 3DXchange to get there. It would have been nice to know this before getting 5 minutes into the video. =( Oh well.
