I couldn't find the injector scaling video you mentioned at the end on your library. Could you please post a link to it? Thanks!

Nice easy to follow video, good job! I have a c5 that I upgraded stock injectors to Siemens DEKA EV1 80# injectors. Having a hard time finding the new injector data. Any help in locating It would be greatly be appreciated. Thanks

What size fuel injectors are you using for this setup?

Could someone please upload a copy of this spread sheet to a public place so a copy can still be downloaded. Thanks in advance.

While explaining flow vs. KPA you said that at 80 kpa you will flow more due to higher vacuum then at 0. Shouldn't that be the opposite? 80 kpa is higher pressure wise than 0 correct? Sanity check please 8)

You are correct. 100 Kpa is equal to atmospheric pressure. So between 14 to 15 psi at sea level. Anything under that is manifold vacuum and anything over that is boost. So 80 Kpa is 11.76 psi (assuming 14.7 psi atmospheric pressure) or about 6 inches of vacuum.

I know this is old, but I had the same question and had a hard time finding the whole detailed answer why the table and values are set up the way they are. The kpa confusion really just stems from the perspective of how the kpa readings are figured. A guy named Russ K on the HPTuners forum posted this awesome answer. He said..."The injector flow rate table is referenced to manifold vacuum kpa. To convert map kpa to vacuum kpa, you take the barometric pressure and subtract the manifold map. So if the baro in your area is 95 and your manifold map is 95, then the manifold vacuum kpa is 0. If your map kpa was 15, then the vacuum kpa would be 80."When you convert the MAP kpa to the vacuum kpa like he explains, it all makes sense. Keeping his example of 95 on the MAP for barometric pressure...15 MAP kpa at idle converted to vacuum kpa by removing it from the 95 kpa for atmospheric pressure gives us vac of 80 kpa. It now makes sense the flowrate values in the table are higher at 80 kpa of vac since the fuel is partly getting sucked from the injectors in this condition.95 MAP kpa at WOT converted to vacuum kpa by removing it from the 95 kpa for atmospheric pressure gives us vac of 0 kpa. It now makes sense the flowrate value in the table is lower at 0 kpa of vac since the flow is not getting any extra help from suction.

Once the injectors and data is installed and the ecm has accepted it.. is that it? Will the injectors perform pretty much as stock until retuned?

Did you ever find out that answer? I have the same exact question lol

@PengInTheAzz in theory yes.. in practice it's going to depend on how close the injectors actually Match the data.. the best workaround for this is to see what your current fuel trims are (let's pretend they're 5% rich).. instal the injectors and data and relog your new fuel trims.. Let's pretwnt the new fuel trims are 10% rich.. were going to adjust the new data ifr until it trims 5% rich.. This in theory will give you the correct ifr and you won't have to redo your SD table and maf curve..

@yolofullsend thanks! Guessing you've tuned a lot in the passed five years lmao, any tips for a newbie just getting started?

@PengInTheAzz depends where you're at with things... if you just built a turbo cammed ls and don't know where to start.. pay a tuner... If you already have a working car and you're making minor changes.. dont be afraid to experiment with small steps.. take lots of logs... use a wideband 24/7.. keep a known good file on deck if your tune isn't working... dont run lean and don't go crazy with the timing.. the learning curve is huge and the risk is high if you don't know what you're doing... Take cautious small steps.

@PengInTheAzz as for the injectors.. I tried to tune a set. Couldn't do it.. paid my tuner.. he couldn't do it either, they were shit injectors.. got a different set.. plugged the data in.. adjusted the ifr and they worked great...
