How to import media into Final Cut Pro

Pity this option is no longer available - at least not in FCP 10.8.1. It's a big blow to my workflow.

@@StupidRaisins Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant the thumbnail view. When importing from a hard drive rather than a card or camera, the only option is Filmstrip - which is useless if you have a lot of video files in one folder!
