At one of my subscribers request today we are going to import stems into the Akai Force. I normally don't do this but I can see why musicians would want to do this and use the force as a multitrack recorder. Let's see what would be the beat way to get this done. Let me know in the comments if y'all know a better way!

Just for the record guys this is no where near perfect! Trying to record vocals in the arranger this way may be difficult but it can be done! Using the loop feature in the arranger would allow for an easer way to punch in and out but yeah it still would be a headache. Let me know if yawl plan to try this and if you have a better way. One!

I think the other problem with the drum kit method is you always have to start the track from the beginning.

The nice thing about using the audio tracks if it’s for live use is that you can jump to any point in the song so no need to start from the beginning. I’ve done this ina bac band setting (we don’t have a bass player and wanted to add in some extra stuff here and there) and it works great if you want to run a song for live or to rehearse. I’ve also done it with the drum track method like you did here and that has it’s advantages and drawbacks like you pointed out. Part of the great thing about the force is that there are many ways you can do things so finding one that best suits your needs at that time is possible and in my opinion relatively easy

I have been looking at the Force for the same purpose, I would like to import a stereo WAV to use as a backing track on stage, and also be able to trigger a few one shots/loops and use FX on the one shots/loops per song. I also want to be able to set markers at say the Verse, Bridge, chorus, etc so at band practice we can just go to those parts and practice them. I would like to create a project per song, and the vocalist would change the project on stage. All the project would be is like a said our already written stereo WAV (Drum, FX, Synth) and a few loops to trigger. From what you are saying you use the Force exactly how I would like to?

@@void_division it’s perfect for all that, in that context everything you said is how I use it plus you can see a loop point in the arrangement epithet as a backup (guitar player string breaks or a coughing foot from the singer) or creative like an intro or outro thing. What I’ve been doing lately is having stems on it so I can mix it live and send individual outs to front of house if needed and you can add automation and or effects

yeah with you there about using samples instead of audio tracks. using the step sequencer to add the samples in to the clips would be faster than recording them in there imo

Yeah, I would love to do this. The Force 'could' be the backing track tool for my band 'if' this would be convenient. I think your first 'method' (audio track) has one big advantage (if I'm correctly). Your audio stays in time when you move the playhead around. Where with the drum program option, the stems will keep playing from the original position UNTIL it hits another trigger. I can't test it (don't have a Force). But I am looking for a method to have the stems audio move with the playhead when I have to move it around. Why is this relevant? Now lets say our singer starts too early and I have to quickly move to 2 bars ahead, to match where he / she is atm. With the drums program option, the stems will still keep playing from where they started, and not move ahead with the playhead. Again, I can't test this, but I am hoping you can see if my theory is correct. If so, I'm 99,5% gonna get a Force......

Hello, I don't know which one to choose, Force or Live 2 or MPC ONE? I need a sequencer that will be a drum machine and a traditional sequencer. So it played normal midi tracks (not clips). I want to connect a midi interface or splitter to it so that the midi signal goes to my eight hardware synthesizers. Which one will be better for me??

Is there a way to copy MPC key 61 plugins like Fabric to the Akai Force?. It's BS that you have to purchase the same plugin twice from Akai. Thanks!
@marcuselbow
@marcuselbow 7 ай бұрын
I'm not sure. I do know if you buy the plugins for a standalone device you can use them on all devices as long as the SD card is installed on the device in use.
