I use the force to make my Akai mk 88 key a standalone as well. When I need to use my key or pads I play off the keyboard vs the force. The force is for arranging purposes, sound bank, mixing :editing, and the ability to bridge other instruments with using my MacBook

You can actually use it with ableton if you wanted daw functionality. You can bring ableton projects into it and save your project as an ableton project as well. It’s basically a standalone push 2.

CREATIVE, I 'm still holding on to my Machine Studio and Jam MPC Touch and Studio just not into standalone. But I will be trading my MPC"s for an X or MPC Key 61 the Firce just not for me.I did get the Push 2 and love it.

I really want to try the Push 2 and Ableton! I have heard nothing but good things about it!! I wish I would have held onto my Maschine Studio. That was my favorite Maschinr so. Far. I really like the plus, but just having everything laid out on the studio made life just a little easier. Yoooooo, so I got the MPC 61 Key coming in the mail 😁😁😁 I’m super excited!!

Don't sleep on that crossfader & the macro system (press edit+knobs) it takes a while to set it up the way you want but once you do then you'll know why this thing is a Force!

The workflow makes more sense if you're an Ableton user. The record button position doesn’t matter just change your setting for recording to record via launch. You can then either launch record from a blank clip or the actual launch button. Stand-alone to me means without the use of a computer. Native instruments doesn’t understand what that means. I picked up a maschine plus and the workflow is terrible as a stand-alone device. They tried to add clips like Ableton but wow it’s implemented really wrong. It’s funny how all of these companies steal from Ableton but just don’t get it right. The force is the closest thing out that mimics Ableton but is a hybrid integrating with the mpc.

@@creativedwill honestly if you already have a DAW that you're comfortable with and it does everything you desire. Why switch? It's a pain in the butt learning a new DAW for real. I use the force for building my songs and I use Ableton to complete them. It's like a perfect combo.... no distractions and forced focus on melodies and harmonies in standalone mode, then adding extras with Ableton...

@creativedwill
@creativedwill 7 ай бұрын
Hey thank you for commenting. I love the maschine, because the workfolk just clicks for me. I also love the integration that Native instruments offers with all their products and how well everything is organized and easy to find. So, I guess for me I really love the NI ecosystem. Also the Maschine is just so easy to get ideas out and started in my opinion.

@@creativedwill cool, thx for making that clearer! I have komplete 14 ultimate and a NI s61. Im a hobbyist, play guitar and would like to get singer/songwriter ideas/productions efficiently going next to my full-time job. I thought sth. like Akai force or Maschine plus could help..since standalone units probably give a more direct workflow. What would you recommend for getting vocals/guitar/production ideas down? And What do you think "is more fun"? I think with komplete 14 I can probably use a lot of sounds already for maschine plus too, right? (In stand alone just a couple, which are already included). But Akai force seems to offer a broader package...although the beast is somehow not as much fun "to look at/start working with" given the massive design.... Maybe I just stick with Ipad and loopy pro for a bit longer. Thx for giving some ideas! Br

I'm torne between the Force and MPC One. I can get a new Force for $799 and the One is on Sale at $699. The force just seems to have a bit more going on?
@creativedwill

It really depends on if you want a hybrid workflow or a completely standalone. With the MPC one you will have the ability to utilize your computer with the hardware but with the Force it’s completely standalone. I personally prefer the Hybrid setup.

if you're a visual person, the force is a better option.. I cant really see a good reason to get an MPC if you haven't had one before though... If you already have an old MPC, get the force

Speaking for myself, I've purchased a Live I, Maschine+, and SP-404 mk II over the past few years, and I've sold the Maschine and SP. Why? Because I've been using the MPC every time I want to make music while the other two collect dust; just the way it worked out, I suppose. Never tried the Force, but everything I've seen about it says it's Ableton Live in a box, so much so that that the Force and Live integrate pretty seamlessly with each-other.

Hey thank you so much for commenting!😊🙏🏾 Yea I totally understand where your coming from, but having the built in Battery on the MPC Live 2 is a huge plus for me. I find myself using the live 2 more than anything since I’m a busy dad and don’t have much time to spend in the studio like I would want to. It’s not a must have or a absolute need, but for me it’s a huge benefit. Again thank you for commenting🙏🏾

@Creative Dwill Yeah... I think Maschine's easy workflow has spoiled all of us. lol I wanted to like the Akai Force but It just didn't click with me and the shape of the Force is Wack. Now I see why Ableton Push 2 controller has a thin smaller screen. If you have 64 pads and add a big screen you end up with something shaped like the Force.
