Wow, the most underrated video, I had to scroll through so much to get to this video. Great tips!

Appreciate you saying that, thanks :) Glad you found it and unfortunate that it was hard to find :( Guess this means the KZbin Algorithm requires more offerings of likes, comments, and shares to get the word out more

the two things that were the most helpful for me from this video: - Recruiters scan, not read. Dense resume isn't the answer, and highlighting ur most relevant impacts gives the recruiter a quick impression of who you are. - Self critique advice. I ended up completely deleting some bullets bc the impact wasn't clear, and even helped with keeping it concise.

Hi Carmen, so I didn't realize this before but KZbin has removed the ability to DM people. Can you send me your resume over email at klaueditsmyresume@gmail.com with your resume attached in raw format (whatever you used to make it) instead? Hi Kevin, that was a very helpful video for me as I’m new to PM role. I just finished my internship and looking for a full time position. I have been struggling in showcasing my skills on my resume as I don’t have a PM experience except for my internship. If I share my resume, would be able to critique please?

Yes! I plan on randomly choosing 3-5 folks here and making a video of me live critiquing resumes so others can benefit from the process too. I’ll probably do the random pick in a week or so from now

is architectural design considered technical experience in this case?
@heyklau3 жыл бұрын
I would consider "technical" relative to the role/company-- so if you're thinking about switching into PM-ing at a software company, it would not be. If you were PM-ing at an architectural or construction firm (assuming PM was even a thing there, I have no clue) there's a much higher chance that would be considered relevant technical experience. A more common thing I've seen is folks with an architecture background switching into product design in tech, since there tends to be more overlap in the kind of thinking/training there. Also not having directly relevant technical exp is common, esp when you're trying to switch roles/industries for the first time. I mention some tips in this video and more tips in my resume critiques video for how to best position experiences that might not be directly relevant, which might be more helpful.

I've always struggled with trying to get tech recruiters to look at my resume since I have a background in finance and don't have any technical skills. Your video was super helpful and you pointed out a lot of good tips, especially the ones covering the cover letter. I would love for you to review my resume and give me any pointers you may have. #critiqueplease
