This weeks Leather Tip Tuesday video comes from a question by Libby.
Libby asked, “What practice should I do to improve on drawing? Especially how to fit certain areas with flow lines.”

Highly recommend his full course and committing to the practice. Years and numerous (waisted money) books to learn to draw my own patterns never made sense. Joe's course finally brought everything into light. He touches on little areas that will make the concepts easier to understand. Little things such as the triangles he talks about above made the one of the biggest difference in pulling everything together. Other instructors talk about flow but never could get the balance that was needed until Joe brought up the triangle. Joe's ability as a teacher is awesome and highly helpful

Same, that one little comment about triangles crystalized more of the concept than anything else I've seen. I figured right then the full course would be more than worthwhile.

And here I've been drawing Fibonacci sequences into each other, thinking there were some geometric fundamentals behind drawing custom tooling patterns, only to now see that I could just have continued with the same drawing process that I've used all my life. Thanks for the enlightenment at least

After working leather for a while (about 6 years, almost 4-8 hours every day) the Sheridan art begins to seem like the same thing over and over. I love the western feel to it, but it begins to feel like I'm using the same flowers, leaves and scrolls. Nonetheless, you are an excellent instructor with a fantastic delivery. I appreciate you sharing your experience and knowledge.

Great tips, I have always been pretty good at sketching and drawing. But I have no "minds eye" for the floral vine work, like you do. I have to look at something for a reference...

This is just more gold standard knowledge in to the bank! The course you do is brilliant and really opened my skills, but like you say you have to do a little each and every day, even if its just 10 minutes doodling. Joe, I have a question for you, what is your set up for recording when you are tooling or drawing? I like to record my builds sometimes and just cannot find a way to do it that shows decent detail. many thanks for all the tips and help

Love your videos, been doing leather work for most of my life, but I've been out of it for a while. What is a shop top?

Hey Joe, do you have a celtic knot pattern that you could show us a video on? About everything I'm finding is mostly western/floral.
