What are some of your favorite training strategies?

I know it’s sooooooooooo trendy right now, but the ecological approach/task based games type thing. Watching guys like Chasen, Chewy, Jordan, Jedi, etc I’m trying to adopt this idea of “concepts not techniques” early on (I’m 3 stripe white). I take it a step further by using certain partners for certain games (guard retention when they’re great passers, pinning games with the wrestlers, etc). Once a week I test myself against a higher belt, ask questions, and then research/design the games I want to play the following week, and with who. I’m in my mid 30’s, so it helps with recovery as well (not a lot of really hard rounds since we’re working from positions). Idk why I’m writing this but maybe someone will read this and maybe inspire some new approaches in their training. Thanks for the video Professor!

For sweeps, halfguard stuff, subs = arm bars and triangles.

My Monday and Wednesday classes are competitive classes I’m dying from the warm up and conditioning then rolling those days I suck then Saturday rolling class I’m taking people down and submitting them and giving them a fight people ask why I suck in the competitive classes I said well your not going to workout before your fights in competition
