Thanks for the video. I would like to share something from the yoga side that may help beginners in to Warrior 3 in a more stable manor. If you are having balance issues. Balancing and pivoting the way shown might be difficult. It helps if your start from a narrow warrior 2 footwork (like a front stance/forward bow), hold the hands together straight out in front of your chest instead of over your head, move your weight over the front leg and begin to tilt the upper body forward and lift the back leg off the ground. Keep your weight centered over the front leg and try to make a parallel line with your body and the ground. By moving forward in to the asana slowly and keeping a straight body instead of trying to balance and pivot all in one motion. You'll see more stability getting in to proper alignment this way. Instead of pivoting the whole body at the hip and raising the back leg higher than the body. Also In Iyengar style Hatha you would usually use blocks as a prop until you developed stability. Just my two cents. Take it or leave it. If you find another way that works for you. Go for it.

Thank you Master Woo! Very informative video as usual, and I love that you bring in other arts like Yoga. I personally integrate some Pilates principles to help with balance, like engaging the deep core muscles (called the TVA under the abs) - by bracing, before I kick. It helps a lot. Still a lot to learn and improve on - always. Kamsa ham needa

Mr Woo, I really like your videos. But I have to ask: What do you think of today's Olympic TaeKwonDo since the 2000's compared to the old rules decades before?

The competitors in my country are refusing to participate in contests... National Ranking Matches... They (kukkiwon) must improve the contact matter... 1975 Taekwondo must live again :(

Yes, I agree. Sport Tae Kwon Do will not exist much longer the way it is today. It must go back to the way it was long ago.
