This is why I’m ditching meta quest and I’m gonna try to find a good pcvr headset. So far online all I’ve seen is used valve indexes and used vives and I am trying to get a solid functional pc vr that hasn’t had damage on it

I don't know what's wrong with my headset but when I turn on the power saving mode, the graphics are the exact same and so is the battery life. I've tried resetting my headset but i guess that setting is just broken and doesn't work at all.

If the Quest 3 is using more power than expected, then that means Meta didn't properly test it before release. More likely they lied about how long the battery will last because they had to know. But Meta's fix is no fix at all if it gets us frame drops and lower quality, if that's what we need to do then we might as well go back to using the Quest 2. They could have just as easily put in a much larger battery, because did they think no one would notice the significant reduction of battery life? Idiots!

Since the update my quest 3 has been fine. I turn the brightness in the middle, turn on battery saver, and then I turn on the 90hz instead of 120hz. Unless I’m playing an high demand game

No point in getting the Quest 3 if you're only going to use 90hz. For the price of this new headset we shouldn't have to throttle back the visual settings.

4 to 9 more hours of game play with a 10000 mah battery pack check your math it dont add up the internal battery is 19.4 wh or if you prefer 19400 mah you play +/- 2h- 2.5h so it consume +/- 8000-10000 ma/h you gona have 3 to 4 hrs max run time total with the pack

I believe it may vary depending on different VR devices. If we consider the Quest 3, a 10000mAh power bank should be able to charge it 1.5 times. With the built-in battery of the Quest 3 itself, it can provide a continuous usage time of 5 to 6 hours, which should be more than sufficient.

From what I’ve read and seen it shouldn’t be louder then any game or even really that audible I’ve ran all of the graphically intensive games and it’s barely been audible. When it goes at its max it’s really not gonna be heard if you aren’t in complete silence

I disagree that the battery problem is fixed. In order to extend the battery you have to reduce the fidelity. That is not fixing; but putting a bandaid over a gaping wound.

A better fix is just to get a 20watt pd power bank. Completely solves the issue. Thats what I do. Just slip a 10,000 (20watt) power bank in my pocket. Quest 3 doesn’t drain at all. Cost me only $16 for the power bank. Adds about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of battery life doing intense gaming (dungeons of eternity and pcvr). I ended up buying 2 power banks and I just got swap them. Basically giving me unlimited playtime

Not a FIX. (may as well keep your Quest 2) Your idea of a fix is far different to mine. A REAL fix is buy a PD3 18w Battery Bank or similar AC charger.
