Single most powerful thing to improve your performance as a player? Stable, high frames and a good gsync/freesync monitor reducing screen tearing + ghosting. That's it. Everything else will come with experience. Frames win games. This game reduces your weapon's Rate of Fire (ROF) by almost HALF if you sit below 60 FPS during engagements. This means your Time To Kill (TTK) nearly DOUBLES in relation to what it should have been, and that's a fun little fact that nobody tells the new and low budget players. As if having much higher input lag by default wasn't enough... Now combine this with clientside and bad server performance. What you've just made is the Planetside 2 experience in a nutshell. I hate this game but I love it too. No other FPS was capable of keeping my attention for so many years.

And if you don't. Yeah... You are done. 😕 Like me. I get 35 to 40 fps in bigger fights and then it's going cancer and you never stand a chance against a 1.5kd member. I feel I could do much better but I can't because of my hardware 🙄🙄

I saw massive improvement through joining an outfit, watching how the good players move around and asking them questions about the thought process

Little tip: when you on the roof and your enemy straight under (/above with full body uncovered) you or a little away, try to shoot continuously. Not bursting.

here is an advice from a veteran, Not every one CAN get good at the game, and insted of geting upset of your slow progress or no progress at all. Develop at chessy game play, evolve your good skill in to something greater that you can use better then your enemys. This will be something that you can learn to Co-op with and develop properly in to game play

Thank you. I'm one of those folks that simply can't seem to get better no matter what I try. I have 7 kills and 138 deaths after 24 hours of playing this character and about 48 hours of playing the game. I wasn't looking to be good in that short of time, but I know when I'm doing a LOT worse than anybody else. Sadly, I really love the concept of the game, but the last time I was even decent at an FPS was when Quake 2 first launched. I'm too old, too arthritic and too confused as to why I shoot people for what seems like eternity and they shrug it off, yet I seem to get killed instantly by any and all classes. I know that it's not the weapons and armor, so it has to be me. When I play this game, I feel like I must have had a stroke and just don't know it yet.

@@shaky_dawg my specialization is sniping, it took me a total of over 26 months to get really good at one version of sniping. It's easy to do it well once you get a hang of it, but it's a real struggle to start with it. It requires a lot of time on the point of finding out when and where i can be useful to myself and my faction. My version is medium too long range sniping which means between 100-250m (medium) up too 350-600m (long range). This skill teaches you the blue print layout of every base you are at. After a while you can apply the map and base knowledge in to a completely different and way more athletic game play, that would be similar of Quake game play. Alot of speed, a lot of jumping around. You mix the light assault class with a set of weapons and utility to match this speed and high athletically game play. I myself prefer the slow game play, but this fast pasted version is really thrilling and fun as well just cuz i possess the proper knowledge to achieve it. i play on EU cobolt servers, If you wish to learn my game style i cud coach you in 1on1. What you would learn from me in 3-5 times would usually take people around 4-6 months

Just run infiltrator like 90% of the community and shoot people in the back non stop. Will be able to become a pro immediately. Zero skill needed.

Watch moukass play planetside 2. He's a high skill player

I miss Moukass's videos 🥺. He seemed to legit be having fun AND was more deadly than John Wick 😄. That's definitely who I studied at 1st. I mained for years as LA because of his gameplay 🤨🤔.

@@2kt2000 Yeah, but at the same time that level of play is not feasible for a lot of newer/less skilled planetpeople
@2kt20002 жыл бұрын
@@MajinStrach I never said it was feasible and completely agree with ya. I don't recommend LA as initial main with the hindsight of years to look upon. I did it though and Moukass helped me by demonstrating the possibilities early so I didn't get extreme growing pains lol. I'd recommend heavy to a newb for sure, as first main that is.
