Through your Instagram videos I have truly began to realize the importance of fundamentals. Thus, I have been practicing them much more for a while now out of Aruban Studies and am noticing progress!

Change comes from air speed? Not aperture? How did you measure the air speed?

I’m class of 24 and I want to know how much you practice everyday

Hi Jack, at the moment I aim for about 2 hours a day. That is around 20 minutes warm-up beforehand, then 1 hour for fundamentals and 1 hour for trumpet repertoire. Some people are successful in practicing much more than this, and others do well practicing less than this. When practicing, the thing that you should be aiming for are productive and efficient practice sessions. If someone "practices" for 2 hours but is constantly getting sidetracked and/or is blasting through an exhausting set of chops, they aren't being very productive and efficient with their time and energy. On the other hand, someone can practice in just 2 sets of 30 minutes and get much more done if they are practicing efficiently and productively, giving their chops time for breaks and being able to focus better. In short, focus more on what and how you are practicing (practice smart, not hard). 2 hours is a good number though if that's what you're looking for. Good luck to you and feel free to ask any other questions!

Trumpet Max thank you very much for the help, I now know that I should take more time to do more precise and strategic practicing instead of playing hard on all state and scales 24/7

@@jack-thegreat3554 Of course! As a freshman, this new practice mindset will do good for you. It definitely took me too long to learn this so I hope it helps you out.

You audio level is REALLY soft and lots of room sound. Apparently you are not using the mic in front of you.

Thanks for the feedback, that mic had some really bad white noise problems but I have a new one now!
