Good video. Thanks for presenting it. You can also set the project monitor to display at a different resolution, rather than 1:1. Finally, you can pre-render selected portions of your video, for example a section that has a lot of effects applied.

While I'm still trying to figure out how to work in hardware acceleration, the tips with the the proxy clips really helped, good video!

Hi, I have AMD 6800xt but when i try to check the box for VAAPI hardware acceleration, it says no hardware encoders found, is this a bug? I am sure that the drivers are up to date as I only recently built up this pc and got everything installed

There is a issue I have with Kdenlive. The Issue is that when I put a image/test over the video it shows a black screen each time the image "shows," I tried enabling and disabling the background but it still wont work. What is the issue you may ask? Thanks for reading and helping me, goodbye.

That happene to me. The solution is goingo to the hamburger next to timeline edit mode and put track compositing in high quality

When editing with proxy clips, do you need to disable the proxies before rendering? If you don't will it render the lower resolution proxy file or will it output at the original clips resolution?

The default is to render normally. As in, when you're editing, you're seeing proxy files, but when you render, it uses the originals. In many versions of kdenlive, you CAN render out using proxies as an alternative setting though.

Hi, I came across with your channel because I have 3 weeks learning colemak, it's good to see your channel is still active and I do not see video updates of people that start learning any alt keyboard layout, is either I started learning or this is my experience after years of typing on x or y layout, well, some people upload daily updates but I would like a video from you explaining if you are still using colemak, and if your typing speed improved or if you're not using it let us know why you are not using the layout anymore, Thank you in advance.

@@linuxlounge there's nothing wrong in using qwerty, your posture and ergonomics should be taken care of first and at the end of the day, 100 wpm is overkill for any daily task, I personally would like to just hear your thoughts in regards to the topic and why you came back to qwerty

I wanted PERFORMENCE FIXED NOT RENDERING SPEED now I'll just stick with a render looking like it came out of VHS.

But if I'm using the VAPPI encoder over the Graphic Card RX580 2GHz 8GB DDR4 V-RAM the quality in 4K is worst! you show a blur Video there you can't see that the quality is worst!
