I wanted to thank you so very much for all of your tips and advice regarding the gentle manicure methods you use. For my entire life until now, I had horrible nails and the skin around my nails was always chewed up and shredded, and my nails were bumpy. I bought the tools you recommended, the glass file and cuticle remover, and they were so gentle and no hangnails! I wish I could send you a photo of my new nails/hands as they look so pretty now thanks to you! I believe I may have suffered for a long time with skin-picking, but learning the right way to take care of my nails has made such an improvement to my quality of life. Thank you so much! ❤️

I use a base coat under regular polish and regular top coat. It helps keep my nails from breaking easily, and my polish actually lasts much longer. I switched from a no- name lamp and some Amazon gel base to the CND lamp and base coat after watching your videos. I feel much more confident that I'm doing safer things for my nails overall, and I find that removal is much easier with less stress on my natural nails. Thank you for sharing and caring!♥️

Hi Susan! Are you using just the base? And then you wipe it and then polish your nails with regular polish?
@susanm9824
@susanm9824 2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSalonLife Actually, I use base and topcoat, wiping both, then I apply 2 coats of regular polish and one coat of Seche Vite. Works so well. Then, I use a non acetone remover to remove the polish until I feel that the base and top have grown out enough that they need to be removed. I use your removal method. I do find that CND removes much easier than what I had been using.

Thanks so much for your videos! I can't tell you how much I appreciate how you explain everything and how to do everything properly. I recently had a manicure done (with CND shellac) and my PNF was chopped off and was rather sore for a few days! I now know how to better care for my nails and feel so much better informed. Keep the videos coming. The videos showing the CND colours on real nails and comparing them are really helpful as well. Thanks.

Thank you for a very educational video! I invested in the steamer, which also works well, but not as fast as you manage to work in your videos. I don't shellac the nails myself, I go to a CND-certified salon. I just safe a little money by removing the shellac at home...

My heart is beating as it will be my first time removing shellac . I 've been to a nailsalon to have a manicure on my bittennails. She did an awesome job. I've been very nice and haven't messed up her work by biting or picking on my nails. It's been one month now and I'm going to remove the shellac. I have all the tools you recommended in the video . I think you explained well and you gave very important tips Thank you

Hello there :). The question is do you have CND Shellac on your nails or other brand of gel polish or even gel polish. If you had your nails extended then it’s not a Shellac. If you don’t mind me asking if the nail technician was good why do you choose to do it yourself instead of getting it done professionally?

I wish I could find a nail tech who watches your videos! I got shellac polish for the first time not long ago, and when they removed it, they didn't soak it near long enough. When they finished wrapping my nails they started removing the first wraps right away. Since most of the polish was left behind, they buffed the rest of it off with an electric file. This completely trashed my nails, they all split and broke. I had to cut them as short as possible, so now I have to wait until they grow out to get another manicure. I would love to have shellac again but it's not worth six weeks of recovery time. 😭

Excellent information. I have been using CND for 12 years now and I use the foil method to remove but I have to leave my nails wrapped for 25 minutes to soak off. I haven't tried heat. Interesting. What is your favorite gel polish brand?
@TheSalonLife

Hi Kristi! I only use CND Shellac for my gel polish. Tried many but I like Shellac the most. Why 25 minutes you think? What are you doing differently (other than the heat)
@kristivaughan3839

@@TheSalonLife I use store bought acetone and cut up cotton rounds like you do, but if I soak less than 25 minutes the polish is not ready. I use a base coat, 2 coats of color, and the top coat. Doesn't bother me, just takes awhile. I agree with you on the brand. I have tried others and always come back to CND.

@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife Жыл бұрын
When you look at the ingredients CND Offly Fast is pure acetone and macadamia nut oil and some fragrance. It's expensive here, 28€ for 1 litre. Cosmetic acetone here costs about 1.50€ per 200 ml so about 7.50€ per litre. Much less when you buy in bulk You can get pure acetone (cosmetic grade) for 7€ for 5 litres! So 1,40€ per litre. Macademia nut oil is about 20€ for a litre. I suspect that there is max of 5% of oil in CND Offly Fast mix so about 1€ worth. Basically I can make my own for 2,40€ per litre :)

Yes, I agree about that. Shellac is not for everyone. What brand are you using now? Allergic reaction is caused by overexposure to uncured or improperly cured coating. The removal process doesn't matter. I talked about this here in detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZC3n6ecqsabqa8

Yes. Although I personally don’t recommend gel polish on feet. With feet being squished in shoes all day which can cause trauma to the nails additionally gel polish raises the moisture level in/under the nails. Perfect environment for fungal/bacterial etc infection.

Why you simply dont use cnd products all 1 2 3 4 also for removing they also have aluminium pads for removing it s not a lot saving money any way
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife Жыл бұрын
Hello Zena, I prefer pure acetone, I have better results with it and the nails are not as sticky as with the Offly Fast remover. Also I'm not fan of the smell, some smells bother me. I tried the pads and I simply don't like them. They are not fluffy enough. Also they are like $2 per 10 so per client (here they are 35€ for 250 pieces), sometimes you have to re-wrap. That really adds up. $2 per client, average tech sees 30 clients per week, that is $240 a month, almost 3K a year spent on these wraps. Doing it my way costs about 10 cents per client. ($144 a year)
